WCC Tourney Floor

Post by Aggie19 » March 7th, 2020, 8:24 pm

Hurts my eyes to watch it. Feels like the floor is black and white and the players are in color. Like a weird 'Pheasantville' sort of thing.

That's exactly how I feel about watching a NETS game.

I loathe the Oregon floor. Get glare on it when you watch on TV.
I don’t like all the scenery stuff on the floor. Notice we don’t have it cluttered and I hope we never do. Dukes is not cluttered, neither is North Carolina’s.

I find the dark colored floors kind of mask the ball's movement during a dribble. Not for the players, but on TV it just seems less crisp. Harder to see if a foot or ball is in or out

Second class. Just like the WCC tournament. The MWC did much better.

Basketball floors today sort of remind me of baseball uniforms in the 1970s and 1980s. They are going through a phase right now where there seems to be a competition to see who can come up with the ugliest floor. At some point someone is going to go back to basics, a classic look, and that will kick-start a new trend.

My first MLB game was in 1977 in the Astrodome. I loved those 1970's/80's rainbow jerseys. I had a souvenir one that I wore for many years, even after I outgrew it. LOL!
