Just for nv aggie I mean nvspuds (ice cream)
Guys and Tania. We are missing the most important thread of the year. Since July is ice cream month, What is your favorite aggie ice cream??? Nvspuds reminded me that we have not been talking about this!
As for me; my choice is true aggie night (I think that is the one, vanilla with raspberry and chocolate chunks)!

Dang that does sound good! Gonna have to try that. Was thinking today I’d love to try a lemon and raspberry ice cream.

Re: Just for nv aggie I mean nvspuds (ice cream)
For NVAggie, me, it is always Aggie Blue Mint. This isn't even a choice I have to make anymore. It is a reflex. The only decision I have to make is if I want to splurge to a waffle cone for two scoops. That is also becoming more of a reflex.

Honest question for the blue mint lovers. I do not particularly love mint ice cream. Do you you typically love mint ice cream? Or just love it because it is Aggie blue?

Re: Just for nv aggie I mean nvspuds (ice cream)
I hate mint ice cream and most things with mint flavoring. Aggie Blue Mint is one of my rare exceptions...the mint flavor in Aggie Blue is very subtle and more sweet than other mint ice creams. Give it a try - most people I know who don't like mint ice cream have enjoyed Aggie Blue Mint.

Re: Just for nv aggie I mean nvspuds (ice cream)
I like mint ice cream fine, but it is not a flavor I would normally ever pick if given a number of options. However, Aggie Blue Mint is really good. It's probably the best mint ice cream on earth.

Re: Just for nv aggie I mean nvspuds (ice cream)
Most mint ice cream is paired with those chips of chocolate. I'm not really a fan of getting those chips stuck in my teeth. The mint can also be overpowering and make the ice cream seem very cold. I won't eat that ice cream. Aggie Blue Mint is different. The mint is far more subtle and sweet. The white chocolate chips aren't overpowering. The cookies really round out a wonderful experience.

Just a heads up. It's not tart like a sherbet. Just smooth and fresh.

Blue Mint followed by Bull Tracks. I once went to the creamery and they put golden oreos in Blue Mint. I sure wish they would bring that back.

Lemon custard is also excellent. Just nice and smooth. I also like carmel cashew. I guess I need to get back to Logan and get some ice cream.

Myself as well. Sounds like I need to spend a few days in the valley to sample all of these I haven't tried before.

Another good one is called Space Debris. It's Huckleberry ice cream with bits of white and milk chocolate. Not sure if it's available to the general public, but we get it at SDL all the time for special events.

The cookie is vanilla flavored instead of chocolate. I really like them. They taste like a better sandwich cookie my grandparents would always have when we went over growing up.slcagg wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2020, 7:25 amWhat in the world is a golden oreo?pilotaggie wrote: ↑July 21st, 2020, 10:59 pmBlue Mint followed by Bull Tracks. Re: Just for nv aggie I mean nvspuds (ice cream)
i voted aggie bull tracks (I'm a sucker for anything/everything chocolate), but my next favorite is salted caramel.
you guys that voted lemon custard are just sick. i think that's my wife's favorite, but she's obviously sick too.
i'm not usually a fruity ice cream guy, but i've gotta try that Space Debris that andy mentioned...that sounds like it rocks!

So glad I live just a short walk from the creamery. My favorites are definitely bull tracks and salted caramel.

The Aggie Ice Cream version of Salted Caramel is the only time I've ever liked that flavor.
Actually, I don't like it. I LOVE IT!

I think I will be up there next week. I shall consider a one-time switch. OR maybe I will just get two.
