ybu's potential FB schedule
Why bother? No regional interests at all, hardly anyone west of the Mississippi, loads of travel, no fan interests, zilch!
BUT the show must go on (I suppose)
7-Sep at Navy (meh, Navy favored to win this)
12-Sep Cincinnati (okay)
19-Sep at Army (meh)
26-Sep Troy (haha)
1-Oct App State (hahaha)
10-Oct Temple (meh)
17-Oct Houston (okay)
24-Oct at ECU (hahaha)
31-Oct USF (okay)
7-Nov at UCF (okay)
14-Nov North Alabama (hahahaha)
21-Nov at Memphis (meh)
wow what a great season. But at least they are playing.

Re: ybu's potential FB schedule
I think they would beat Troy, Temple and North Alabama, but I don't think any of the rest of the games are guaranteed wins. Not that they don't have the talent to beat them, but they've laid some huge eggs against lesser competition multiple times the last few years. 3-9 sounds like a great season to me.

Yeah well done BYU. Great schedule considering the cards dealt to them. Think it kind of silly to dump on them.ratofallaggies wrote: ↑August 19th, 2020, 11:22 amYou wouldn't be happy if USU was playing the same schedule?

Re: ybu's potential FB schedule
I'd play 12 FCS opponents if it meant the Aggies could play. I'd be elated to play their schedule this year.ViAggie wrote: ↑August 19th, 2020, 11:43 amYea like I said, at least they are playing (for now).slcagg wrote: ↑August 19th, 2020, 11:25 amYeah well done BYU. Re: ybu's potential FB schedule
Not the same at all. BYU can afford independence and as I see it, we don't have a schedule. All things equal, and just swapping out the name of the school... not sure why you wouldn't be happy to be playing that schedule with current circumstances.ViAggie wrote: ↑August 19th, 2020, 11:42 amWe did once, it was called 2001 if you don't recall (well it seams that way).ratofallaggies wrote: ↑August 19th, 2020, 11:22 amYou wouldn't be happy if USU was playing the same schedule?

As much as i hate BYU, they at least are planning to play. If we were playing that schedule this year with all that is going on i would be tickled pink. Instead we are at home and going struggle financially to dig out of this hole.

Re: ybu's potential FB schedule
Seems odd that all the teams in the mountain and pacific region have cancelled fall football except for the Kitties. So what is it that the MWC is concerned about that BYU isn’t?

That is the schedule they put together? That is pretty good all things considered. We'll see if it happens.

In my opinion, everybody that gave up their season is going to end up looking stupid.

I would take their schedule in a heartbeat. At least their fans have games to watch this fall. All i have to look forward to is watching my 9 year olds mitey mite games. I love my son, but his football games will not the fill the void of the aggies missed season.

Re: ybu's potential FB schedule
I have to regrettably give BYU props for playing this year. It was a stupid politically motivated desire to beat Trump which was a huge factor in the conference presidents cancelling the season.

Lol, I am sure byu postponing their game against army was also about the presidential election. The Mountain West didn't cancel because of the presidential election. Keep this nonsense in the sandbox.

To be fair, all of the MWC States are are all lead by one party with exception to Utah and Idaho and WyomingAggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑September 12th, 2020, 10:36 pmLol, I am sure byu postponing their game against army was also about the presidential election. Re: ybu's potential FB schedule
Haha, yeah I mean if the guy has concrete evidence that the Mountain West has shutdown sports because the University Presidents and the MW Conference personally believe that it will sway the presidential election, he should by all means post it. Reality is just the Mountain West panicked and was stupid in not allowing certain schools to play on. Utah State should be playing football even if it is a shorter regional schedule. Air Force is playing Army and Navy this year. We should be playing Air Force even if it isn't officially a MW game. We should be playing byu. If Weber State and Idaho State want to play as other FCS schools are doing, we should get games in with them too.ViAggie wrote: ↑September 13th, 2020, 8:47 amTo be fair, all of the MWC States are are all lead by one party with exception to Utah and Idaho and WyomingAggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑September 12th, 2020, 10:36 pmLol, I am sure byu postponing their game against army was also about the presidential election.
