Arguably the greatest running back of all-time

RIP Mr. Sayers, from a long-time Bears fan. One of the game's great ones.

One of my favorite sports-themed books from my youth, along with Jerry Kramer's Instant Replay:

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Interesting, I'll have to check it out. Speaking of things from our youth, Brian's Song is a good movie involving Gale Sayers.

My favorite RB, not saying he was the best or anything, but he was the most impressive that I ever saw. Earl Campbell. I got close enough to touch him during team warm-ups at a Raider game. There is no way you can see him on TV and understand just how physically freakishly he was in person. He looked like it would be impossible to get him off his feet. When he jogged by the fans we all just went silent in awe. As were the Raider players on the field. What a specimen.

Plus, he withstood a wicked Jack Tatum hit, I never saw anyone else do that
