I'd be curious how much Boise is worth to the conference. It better be a lot more than $1.8 million per year.

Re: Conversations with Gonzaga are not dead
Whether they are worth it today is irrelevant. The fact that retaining them when the agreement was struck is relevant. The conference tried to wiggle out of the agreement when the new media contract was signed. Boise sued the conference as a result, and since its hand was a losing one, the conference retreated.3rdGenAggie wrote: ↑October 15th, 2021, 8:12 pmI'd be curious how much Boise is worth to the conference. There is no way Gonzaga would come without some type of Boise deal then the conference is double screwed on revenues.. No thanks.

If they want that then I say go after St. Mary’s and leave Gonzaga with no real in conference competition.
Try to get Wichita State if possible also.

Re: Conversations with Gonzaga are not dead
Boise’s deal is they get more money regardless of their performance. Give Gonzaga the same deal it’s getting in the WCC — that is, a greater percentage of NCAA basketball credits for any wins after the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Re: Conversations with Gonzaga are not dead
Give Gonzaga the same deal they have with the WCC. Let them have their tourney credits, maybe add SMC.
Gonzaga benefits because the mwc pie with Gonzaga is probably much bigger than the wcc pie with Gonzaga and without BYU and Gonzaga wouldn’t be the only school anyone cares about.

Re: Conversations with Gonzaga are not dead
Too bad Wichita State screwed themselves by agreeing to a $20 million exit fee even though they are only a partial member of the AAC (no FB). If we could lure them and Gonzaga, the MWC would arguably be one of the better BB conferences west of the Mississippi.
