They won a 5 set thriller, and the Wayne Estes center was rocking. It was a good time.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

They are 7-2 on the season
One win vs #12
both losses to top 10 teams
crazy difference from being 5-10 in 2020 and 2-28 in 2019

Was really hoping they would have knocked off YBU. Is there any sport we are routinely better than BYU at? We did beat them in soccer last year and once in gymnastics but those have been few and far between. Hockey maybe?

BYU just dropped hockey. The unfortunate fact is that BYU's athletic department has way more resources than ours, so them beating us is generally what "should" happen, and our comparative lack of resources means that we have no realistic reason to expect to consistently beat them.

They actually had a 2-0 lead.
It was a closely fought match. USU looked like they have a few small bumps and bruises with some key players. They didn't use the middle much, but it was open the entire time.
Weber's all-American outside hitter was dinged up as she played libero.

Anyway, it was a great environment and USU took them down in an environment where they rarely lose.
