1,000,000 USUFans posts!

Looks like we're on track to hit our 1,000,000 posts on USUFans sometime this year. @ProvoAggie, do you have any projections on when that might occur?

Should we do something to celebrate? Make a donation to USU Athletics? Hold a 50/50 opportunity drawing? Ask one of our coaches to drop by and do an "Ask me anything" thread.

I don't have any projections. I honestly haven't really monitored the total number of posts. I think we should honor the 1,000,000 post with a $1,000,000 donation to USU from whomever makes that post. $2,000,000 if it happens in the Sandbox.

What we should do is have a lottery where everyone gets a topic, and whoever has the topic that the millionth post is about gets a prize. And in the case of the post being in the sandbox, the first post in one of the sports forums after that.

It is on pace to come at about the time of the end of football season and the early part of basketball season. And about the time we are sweating out which football players stay and go next go around.
The topics the post could come include:
1. The finality of Ike announcing he is declaring for the draft, or a post hinting the official announcement will come (my guess)
2. Someone committing to return
3. Someone entering the portal(not going to speculate by naming names) and of course it could be someone that hurts us to lose making us further frustrated with the new era, or someone buried in the depth chart leaving for playing time. That would be a fitting topic for the millionth post to be about.
4. How less than stellar we look in an OOC basketball game.
5. How good we look, then a reminder that it's against a weak opponent.
6. Washington, Utah, or VCU losing a game they shouldn't. Could also be about them getting a big win they aren't supposed to.
7. Calling for Blake's head. Could come from one of us, or a lurking Arkansas State fan
8. Calling for Bassett's head. Or a post defending him.
8. Or being optimistic, Blake doing a good enough job to hope for a better offer, and the post could be news about which job opens up, and a rationale for why he would or wouldn't take it or why that school would or wouldn't hire him.
9. Speculation of Dreiling leaving in the scenario our defense improves enough for him to have options, but we don't have a great enough season for Blake to get bigger offers.
10. A post arguing one way or the other as to if Dreiling is ready to take over as our head coach after Blake leaves
11. A post about our bowl opponent.
12. A post debating if we agree or disagree with a player sitting out the bowl game to prepare for the draft. It could also be news that a player is NOT opting out and will play, or that a player is sitting out. Rather it's official or news from aggies22.
13. A Mountain West basketball opponent winning or losing a non-conference game raising or lowering the profile of the conference. The post probably won't come while the conference is playing the non-conference schedule in football, but could also come in the later part and be about a game between two MW teams. The conference championship game is what the post could be about.
14. A bowl game involving another MW team.
15. Something happening in a bowl game that is crazy.
16. A crazy upset. Probably won't be the big unexpected ones in football involving G5 or FCS over P5 teams in September where there are more opportunities, but could be crazy with it being a last place team in a power league upsetting one of the top teams. Of course, maybe one of the SEC teams that schedules a weak team in November will suffer a NMSU-Auburn and the post will involve it. Could also be a sub-300 team upsetting a perennial power in basketball. An upset we post about cause we don't expect it.
17. Something in either sport with Utah or BYU. Or could be a post asking why we are obsessed with Utah or BYU.
18. A team we play in basketball OOC either winning a game to make us look better or losing a game to make us look worse.
19. An off the field incident, which we hope we don't have any more of but odds are we will. And it could also be about an off the field incident at any other school.
20. Something that happens with Jordan Love. Or anything else in the NFL.
21. The last few football games not having better attendance.
22. Any of our non football / men's basketball sports. One thing that would be fitting is if it's a post saying we are better in women's basketball cause of winning a game. Or nice if, to go along with men's basketball ending the tournament drought, women's soccer and volleyball can end it as well. Maybe the millionth post will be from me complaining like I always do about our women's soccer team ALWAYS getting paired with BYU in the tournament when we are again this year instead of getting to play a variety of teams, while understanding the rationale.
23. It could also be about one of our former football coaches either being let go from the position they are at this year, or getting hired somewhere.
24. How bad the officiating is in one of our OOC games.
25. Who wins in the other side of the bracket to set up the next matchup with us in whatever preseason tournament we are in.
26. Speculation as to how bad an injury to an athlete in either sport is. Or about which game a BB player is expected back for.

I clearly need to start posting more to move up the time that the millionth post happens. Perhass I'll post every time SLB makes a prediction (1 per), posts a new poll (1 per), mentions the name Trump (2 per), claims that he doesn't bring up Trump and everybody is obsessed with him (10 per), claims his predictions were were just satire (10 per), we'll be past a million in no time.
