Question sap, is the amount shown on the graph just for usufans.com donations or for the whole fund drive?

That is the amount from the USUFans Challenge... the total amount and goal for the campaign can be found through the 'Support' menu above under BBSF which will take you here:GeoAg wrote:Question sap, is the amount shown on the graph just for usufans.com donations or for the whole fund drive?

Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012
Correct. Our numbers are higher because we included a couple of donations made through the ticket office, a couple of "pledges" made in person at the BBSF office, and a couple of donations made previously this year that were requested to be included in this challenge (by contacting the BBSF who then coordinated this with me).ProvoAggie wrote:The givezooks site does not include donations made through the ticket office though.Aglicious wrote:That is the amount from the USUFans Challenge... the total amount and goal for the campaign can be found through the 'Support' menu above under BBSF which will take you here:GeoAg wrote:Question sap, is the amount shown on the graph just for usufans.com donations or for the whole fund drive?

That is why our numbers are higher than the GiveZooks site.

Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012
Another question...Do we know if the current total for the whole BBSF on givezooks includes donations made prior to the time the fund drive began? I paid BBSF for my season tix a few months ago and was just wondering.
And btw to sap and whoever else was involved in setting this up...fantastic job. Blew the $4000 goal out of the water boys. Hope it keeps coming.

USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012
Wow! Big jump overnight. It looks like we've brought in enough donations that between my "baby gift" to treesap and my promise to donate an additional $50 for each $1500 raised, I'm on the hook for another $600. Obviously we need to set loftier goals next year, or at least focus on new money and new donors.
Let's keep those donations coming! Go Aggies!!

I can't say for sure that the total has been updated correctly, but the fund drive totals include donations made prior to the drive that were paid with your season ticket renewal, for example.GeoAg wrote:Another question...Do we know if the current total for the whole BBSF on givezooks includes donations made prior to the time the fund drive began? Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012
What a great week for Aggie Athletics this past week has been! We had 3 football players get drafted to the NFL, we unveiled a new logo and branding colors including amazing Nike uniforms, and now we're hearing more rumors that we will be joining the Mountain West Conference!
The BBSF fund drive is more crucial now that ever! We've done amazing thus far raising over $17,000 with more to come on Monday (weekend donations), and I think we can do even better. Let's support our student athletes and help bring Utah State athletics to a new level equivalent to all the other upgrades we have been seeing!

Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012
With a few new donations, we are getting closer to our goal of $20,000!
I was also happy to see that several users have committed to upping their donations if we are officially announced as members of the MWC. There is no better time than now to go "ALL IN" and support Aggie Athletics.
For good measure I've added a few more prizes as incentives to beat our original (updated) goal!

Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012
We did it! We have now raised over $20,000 in donations for the 2012 Big Blue Scholarship Fund Drive! Tremendous work by all those who have donated thus far.
Let's not stop now. This is a new day for Aggie Athletics. With the announcement in the morning that Utah State will be joining the Mountain West Conference, the outlook for our future is brighter than ever. I am personally committing to up my donation after tomorrow's press conference, and I know that many on this message board have done the same.
Let's show how much we appreciate the efforts of all those involved in bringing us to the next level, and put our money where our mouth is.
Now is the time! I can't wait!

It's so great that we've passed $25,000! Thanks to all who have made donations. Can we make it $30k? In order for the donations to be counted as part of the drive, they need to be in by approximately 4pm MDT on Thursday, May 10th. Go Aggies!

Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012
We received several donations over the weekend bringing us to a total of $25,685! Several of these were repeat donations from people who have already donated, but we did receive one new donation this weekend as well.
So far we have had donations from 31 users, with an additional 7 repeat donations from certain users.
Let's keep this going and reach $30K before the end of the drive on Thursday!

Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012 - $27,635 Raised!
It's all over folks!! What a success this year! We have raised $27,635 in donations from the members of this message board alone! We broke several goals along the way and blew my expectations out of the water! Can't wait until next year to try to beat our record!
Thank you to everyone who donated. I'm working with the BBSF folks to see how many new donors we had, but I suspect we had at least 15-20. Tremendous work everyone!
Here are the final stats for what we achieved with the USUFans Challenge:
Total donated: $27,635
Number of donations: 54
Number of unique donors: 46
Repeat donations (after MWC announcement): 8
Number of guaranteed prizes to be awarded at end of drive: 20
Here's a breakdown of the prizes:
Guaranteed Awards
$2,500 donated - Michael Smith Autographed Rookie Card
$3,000 donated - Bobby Wagner Autographed Sr. Bowl Card
$3,500 donated - Robert Turbin Autographed Rookie Card

$22,500 donated - Merlin Olsen 1969 Card
$25,000 donated - Chris Cooley Rookie Card
$27,500 donated - Michael Smith Autographed Rookie Card
The only goal we didn't reach was the $30,000 for a Kevin Curtis Autographed Rookie Card. I'll have to keep that one or save it for next year's drive.
I will be holding a drawing tomorrow to determine who wins the prizes. I have had a couple people request to be excluded from the prizes, which is completely fine. If you donated and would like to be excluded from the prizes please send me a private message and I will exclude you.
I plan on filming the drawing and posting it on youtube to create a little drama and suspense. Let me know if anyone has a problem with this, or has other ideas on how to do it.
Once again, thank you all for your tremendous support. I know that this effort has REALLY raised some eye-brows of the higher-up members of the athletics department which is a very good thing in my opinion.

Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012 - $27,635 Raised!
I want to take this opportunity to thank treesap32 for putting the "USUFans.com Challenge" together this year. It was great to see so many contributions this year. Thanks to all who donated. You are truly great Aggies!
One last item of note, I want to congratulate treesap for making the "Top 5 All-Star Team" for week 4 of the fund drive. He was also Rookie of the Week. Congratulations and thanks again for all your efforts!

Re: USUFans Challenge BBSF 2012 - $27,635 Raised!
Well folks, with the help of my 4-year old daughter Mia, we held a drawing for the 20 prizes today. I filmed it and uploaded a video of it just for fun in case anyone wants to see all the prizes and the names drawn for each of them. I will warn you that it is 10 minutes long, but it might be kind of cool to see all the cards and stuff or to be able to watch it to see if you won a prize. I'll post a spoiler below in a few minutes with a list of all the winners in case you don't want to waste your time watching the video. But in the meantime here you go:

Thanks again everyone! You are all the best!!

I'd also like to thank treesap. I've never seen such a concerted effort on any other fan-forum. Ever. I'm always amazed at the ways that Aggie Nation is able to pull together. Well done Aggies, and well done treesap for organize things on this board. Also, tell Mia "thank you" for helping out. She did a very good job.
