Quack's Aggie Wallpapers
let me know how I can make it smoother. the bull is a little fuzzy. I am pretty sure that is because of resizing it.

Re: Wood Wallpaper (feedback, please?)
I really like the look of these. As far as a few pointers go, don't ever scale the image larger than what you have. You only want to shrink it down so start with something larger than you need. I don't know what tool you used to do the wood pattern with the logo, if you use the color wand make sure that anti-aliasing is on. You could also use a mask for this type of effect by having a darker wood layer and then the bull on another layer. Apply that layer as a mask and it will only show the wood layer through the bull image.

Re: Wood Wallpaper (feedback, please?)
the first one, I was using the magic wand and cutting everything out, then merging with the wood layer below it. the last one, i did a mask (i think? it ended up being like a stencil?) with color select and did it large, then shrunk it down. when i shrunk it first, it was making really jagged slants on the diagonal lines. so i think thats why the last one looked best.ProvoAggie wrote:I really like the look of these. I was going for an inlaid wood type thing. it still looks a little too much like its sitting on top of the wood, and not part of it, but this is literally the 2nd time I have ever used photoshop (well, gimp) with the first being for the dock icons i posted in the football forum.

Re: Wood Wallpaper (feedback, please?)
I decided to give it a shot. I just used the image that you gave me and covered the Oregon logo. I've also attached the Photoshop file so you can see how it was done.QuackAttackAggie wrote:i really want one to look like this with the U state logo, but I can't find the background or figure out how to get the two tone shine to the metal

Re: Quack's Aggie Wallpapers
Cool! Do you have the gimp files for the Chuckie one? I'd love to see how it was done. I'm very much a learn by taking things apart kind of guy.

Re: Quack's Aggie Wallpapers
I meant to save it, but didn't. The flares behind him are brushes i downloaded. Just a stamp. The 16 is the official usu athletic font. I cut out Chuckie and put him as the tol layer. All the colors are the official usu colors. It was simple. Took me a tenth as long as the restBigBlueDart wrote:Cool! Do you have the gimp files for the Chuckie one? I'd love to see how it was done.
