Did you know that back in the early days of Utah, in the early 1920s, the KKK had a hard time establishing chapters in the Utah territory. The church issued several warnings to its members not to join the group and eventually the Klan just kind of fizzled out and became wildly dysfunctional in Utah after a few years.

History texts will tell you it's because the church has a doctrinal disposition to secret societies but the real reason is because in Utah there was only so much white cloth to go around.

White Outs should be a byu thing.

But I'm fine with it if the team is dressing up like stormtroopers. Just as long as it's not like in 2006(?) when Fresno had a whiteout against Boise and the Fresneckians wore home red and Boise wore all white. It looked ridiculous.

GA said the PLAYERS were going to wear all white. Besides, I have 7 Aggie blue game day shirts and 0 white ones because just about EVERY school has white in their colors. Why don't we do a Blue out, wouldn't that make more sense? Also, I bet Gary doesn't wear all white to the game, either.

At the end of the day, if you can't afford a white shirt that is Aggie related, just wear any kind of white shirt. Doesn't everyone own a plain white tee of some kind?

Don't worry about it being a USU shirt if you (understandably) don't want to buy 5 or 6 new shirts. Put the kids in any old white t-shirt.

I hate white outs as well, and I would be first in line to support the coach. The problem here is that the coach never asked the fans to be in white. I'm all for the fans/students deciding on their own to do a white out, but people shouldn't throw around accusations of mutany for something that was never said in the first place. Promote the white out, but don't do it in a way that guilts people in to it or it won't work.

(btw, this post isn't intended to be a response to any single poster, just a general reply to what seems to be a growing trend.)

Gary actually DID ask the fans to be in white. Not only will the team be in all white but he's asked that all the fans match the team. So yes he has asked us to do it and I'll be supporting him.
