Thanks, Aglicious. I'd actually seen those when they were first posted in April -- but just forgotten about them.

The new suites/press box is a massive structure. The scale of the concrete and steel is very impressive and it is still very much growing.

I also think this structure will contain and reflect the noise level back into the stadium.

It is very easy to envision extending the upper east side with a couple more poured concrete sections which would add about 2000 seats for short money AND adding an additional 10K seats in steel grandstand sections around the SEZ.

That would put the stadium up near 39k-40K and would make it about the best stadium in the MWC.
I had the same thought looking at it the other day. We're essentially putting up a giant vertical wall on the long side of the stadium opposite our most noisy fans. Genius design!

This post needs to be bumped. Anyone have renderings of floor one and four? Anyone have pics besides the web cam? Are we on schedule?

One thing, as a result of the massive size, the student section will be out of the baking afternoon sun a little earlier!

a little closer look at what is included in the suites.

Image

Cost of other options
- the 20 loge boxes/patio suites will require a $10,000 donation per year, plus four game tickets at $325 each.
- the 700 club seats will require a $1,000 donation per seat annually, plus $325 for each game ticket

Is it a good sign that the ghosts are included? Will that help appease the ancient inhabitants of the Valley, if they know that they're welcome / expected to be in the new suites?

It is for the club and outdoor patio seats, plus the required donation. The luxury suites are only $200/seat but you have to buy 16 of them each game. Oh yeah, and give $40k on top of that. And they're sold out, and there's a waiting list.

A single club seat will set you back $2,950 for the entire season. ($325 x 6 home games + $1,000 donation)

I'm sure tix for the remainder of the stadium will not change too drastically from the current prices.

Could someone who lives in Logan post some pictures of the back side of the construction, so those of us out of the valley can see what is going on back there. I want to see more of that "metal framework" sticking out the back side of the new facility, but the side view doesn't show us much.

Thank you all.

Thanks, man. That really helps!

Now, one other question. When looking at the facility being built from across the field, it is out of balance, with no seating leading up to it on the north end. Does anyone know if they are going to build up that last section of the original grandstand all the way up to the new facility to balance it, or is it going to just stay like it is? Just wondering.

Sorry to dig up an older post, but this isn't right.

A single club seat will cost you a total of $1325 for the entire season. The $325 is the season ticket price ($175 like other chairback season tickets + $25 / game to cover all the "free" food provided to those in the club levels), plus the $1000 donation.

One other thing to note is that the $1000 donation is NOT a BBSF donation. Therefore, if you are a basketball season ticket holder as well, you'll still need to pony up the BBSF donation to cover those seats.

Good info! so the other prices I listed above are for season ticket prices, not per game prices too. The loge boxes would then be 4 seats at $325 each for the season plus the $10K donation. So $11,300 for the entire 4-seat box for the season.

I don't know if it's been posted here, but below is the website for the stadium. It has a lot of renderings I haven't seen before.

So those coverings they're putting up around the exterior, are they to keep the snow and wind out?

Yes, they are containment wraps which can be used for dust control on a remodel or to winterize the building for interior construction which is my guess in this case.

I am pretty dang impressed with the design, marketing and response to the new Mav. With the suites sold out, I can easily see several designs for adding/revising suites and open seats on the east side very soon. Fill in the corners of the bowl, add two rows of suites on or above the upper east, add a few rows of seats on top, and ta-da, instant awesome stadium for forty more years!

It's on track for completion before September 1. Hartwell did an interview with the SL tribune a couple of days ago about it: http://www.sltrib.com/sports/3537829-15 ... renovation
