We may or may not be in a bowl game. Losing to Air Force was terrible. If Utah State does not pick to be in a bowl game, Wells is probably getting fired.

I have a hard time believing we are a bowl worthy team. We did not beat one team over .500 this year.

If he was going to get fired for going 6-6, he would be fired for that even if there were few enough eligible teams or not and wouldn't wait till we know if we get the bid. But we aren't going to fire him for that.

I’m too lazy to look it up, but we probably didn’t even beat a team ranked higher than 100.
This season was bit of fools gold and frankly not really much of an improvement over last year.

Re: Utah State is a 6-6 bowl bubble team
If we get invited to a bowl that makes us a bowl team don't it? I will wait till next week to see. This team played their (I can't express myself without swearing)'s off this season and if they get an invite they deserve it.

There is 5 MWC bowl games, and the Aggies have the 6th best record in the MWC. A number of teams got their 6th win this weekend and two others are set to get their 6th win next week.

These look like the first bowl projections released. According to these our bubble may have burst.

CBSSports has us in still. Foster Farms vs. Wash. St.
We’d be brutalized.

Our best bet is for Boise State to lose in the championship game. Then the conference could shop them to an at large bowl game like they have done before.

Re: Utah State is a 6-6 bowl bubble team
Boise getting an at-large would be ideal, leaving a tie-in bowl to us. I could see that happening. Is BSU obligated to play in the LV Bowl if they win?aceofspadeskb wrote: ↑November 26th, 2017, 9:15 amOur best bet is for Boise State to lose in the championship game. I find it odd that EVERYONE has a not yet eligible sun belt team at NMSU IN, but some have us out.

Re: Utah State is a 6-6 bowl bubble team
I wish I could find this article I read a few weeks ago on the chances of NMSU passing on a bowl game due to not having enough money to send the team to one. The article talked about it needing to be a close to accept an invite. The AD there is concerned about the school having to buy the minimum required tickets for a bowl game that it's fans won't go to. The budget is so tight there they are considering not going to one if the closest bowls don't take them.

Every team works hard. Bowl games used to be merit based as a reward for accomplishment, not because the team tried really hard.
