Merrill Hoge Rips BYU-P coaches
Hoge rips the coaches (Ed Lamb especially) for how his son Beau got moved to RB.

First, this needs to be sent to every recruit deciding between us and byu. Second, it needs to be circulated so often that it goes viral.

Re: Merrill Hoge Rips BYU-P coaches
The best part is Merrill crying about not understanding the NCAA's position on why a kid can't leave if the coach that recruited him leaves or is forced to leave the school. Never mind the fact that it says in bold text on numerous NLI documents that are signed by each student athlete that their commitment is with the school and not a coach or individual.
Sounds like Mr. Hoge and his son should have done a little more research on who they were getting into bed with before they made their commitment.

This is Sitake's third year. Third year, and that is what he is complaining about? I love it!Aglicious wrote:The best part is Merrill crying about not understanding the NCAA's position on why a kid can't leave if the coach that recruited him leaves or is forced to leave the school. Re: Merrill Hoge Rips BYU-P coaches
This one is on Merrill. He should have known there was no offensive staff in place at the time Lamb talked to Beau. You just don't call coaches "weasles." Additionally, you are Merrill Hoge, I guarantee you the staff will talk to you. He knows he should talk to the staff first and not some extent amateurs in the media.

Bad look for everyone involved (except Beau probably who seemed to handle it well) and I couldn't be happier.

I don't know how good Hoge is at QB, but I can understand the frustration of Merrill if he feels like he had a shot at the NFL and this will take that away, but to express that to the media? Not the way to go about it. Just grateful its BYU.

Hahaha.... Those guys were so excited to have Merrill Hoge on the show and they got completely blindsided by him bashing the BYU coaching staff over and over in a long winded rant. Love it.

Bad look for Hoge. Many parents may feel their kid has a shot at the nfl, but the reality is very few do. I agree throwing a tantrum to the media isn't the way to go about it. I imagine his son is the one who hates what he is doing more than anyone just as I imagine Lonzo Ball probably is irritated beyond belief about his dad's antics.Chupamedia wrote: ↑August 16th, 2018, 4:05 pmI don't know how good Hoge is at QB, but I can understand the frustration of Merrill if he feels like he had a shot at the NFL and this will take that away, but to express that to the media? I do love that the guy compared Hoge's son to Tebow considering Hoge was one of the bigger Tebow critics when Tebow was in the NFL.
