The Bees entertain the Bears with the Golden Spike Trophy at risk.
The Phoenices entertain Northridge and will likely get thumped on their home and school home opener.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Re: Friday Night Lights - Week 1
In Idaho, Minico just defeated Kirkland, NM 42-7 in the first game of this years Rocky Mtn Rumble. 5 more Idaho teams play teams not from Idaho.

Have they ever played Grant out of Sacramento, or Long Beach Poly?

I didn't say that they were the two most talented teams, but they are definitely the two most dominant. South Summit has appeared in the last five 2A state championship games, and is a favorite to get back there this year. They work with what they have, and do it better than anyone else at that level. Honestly, they could probably win the 3A title or at least challenge for it.

Rio Vista beat Millennium High (Never heard of them) 49-6. Must be a new Christian High School or something.

LBP is a Public School powerhouse, but the perennial power houses in Ca are the privates that recruit like crazy (St. John Bosco, Mater Dei, Oaks Xian, Chamanade, Orange Lutheran, et al).Jjoey53 wrote: ↑August 26th, 2018, 7:36 pmOKAggie wrote:Bingham would kick our a**, or Sky View's.aggies22 wrote: ↑August 26th, 2018, 2:39 pmI wonder what would happen if Bingham and South Summit played.......YoungBloodAggie wrote: ↑August 25th, 2018, 10:54 amOlympus - 55

I thought this was the real score and had to go look it up. Always a rough first year for a school, especially in the larger classifications.

Viewmont topped Northridge 34-7 in the opening week but the Vikes lost to Davis 12-14 this past weekend.
Mountain Crest falls to Wasatch 14-35.

Re: Friday Night Lights - Week 1
I never understood why the new schools get so ambitious in their scheduling in the first few years, they should be playing like Juab or Ben Lomand or West Wendover, just get your feet wet then start scheduling the schools your size.

Re: Friday Night Lights - Week 1
For the record, Farmington only lost 36-0.
But your main point stands. There are plenty of 4A and 3A teams nearby they could start with.
