Re: Jim Rome
Man, Jim Rome's shtick was old and tired at least 15 years ago. Maybe more. All his show consists of is a bunch of bro douche idiots calling in and having a "smack-off" (i.e., dick measuring contest). "Rack him!"

Re: Jim Rome
The all-time classic was listening to Jim Rome literally two weeks before 9/11 while he and his "clones" went on for hours making fun of firefighters - "all they do is sit around and watch porn all day". You know the drill if you listened to Rome...everyone sending in a "fax" with their insult trying to top each other with their clever insult.
Then, after 9/11, Rome was always talking about how much respect he's ALWAYS had for firefighters. He's a douche bag. But he has an audience so Wells is smart to be there.

Re: Jim Rome
Ha ha ha! Oh, I will absolutely listen. As we age get a bit more cynical. I used to listen to Rome on a daily basis and just grew tired of his schtick.
On a plus side, the funniest thing I heard on his show was a drunk person calling in and going on a rant - or high, or just missing too many teeth. Anyway, couldn't understand a word she said.
First fax that came in was from "Raider Fan": "Mom...?"

Re: Jim Rome
Great interview. Love the part about this being a "player led team". Wells is in control, but knows the culture needs to be fostered and cultivated from within by the players.
