Re: Any word on announcement?
Why is it embarrassing? Taking time for due diligence is the wise route. The world of college football isn't holding its breath regarding USU's hunt for a coach. Recruits should feel better about the choice knowing administration did their homework.

Re: Any word on announcement?
I agree the due diligence is the wise route, never said the world of college football is holding its breath, but its fans and media of the state is. With so many conflicting reports it seems to show that the administration doesn't have grasp on things IMO. It's just the impression I get.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑December 8th, 2018, 9:53 pmWhy is it embarrassing? Taking time for due diligence is the wise route. So many conflicting reports just shows that some peoples sources aren't as good as they thought they were.USUstudent13 wrote: ↑December 8th, 2018, 10:00 pmWith so many conflicting reports it seems to show that the administration doesn't have grasp on things IMO. It's just the impression I get.

The impression I get is that the level of interest in the job and higher than it ever has been among fans, media, etc. An additional impression I get is that we have a high level of paranoia and hysteria in our fan base. We are like a needy girlfriend.

Is it even Gary? I feel like there has been a lot of circular reporting going on. To take the word “soon” and replace it with “today” makes me question how reliable these journalists are,
What makes me nervous is that our fans keep repeating the same questions over and over again.

I just stayed away from the board. I haven’t even worried about it much.

Maybe they are just going to skip a formal announcement, figuring everyone already knows.

Re: Any word on announcement?
You know how Matt Wells always thought of himself as a bit coy around non season ending injuries. Man should have said you can find all injurie updates and reports on USUFANS.com, without saying which source to listen too. Would have drove the opposing team and media nuts.

Re: Any word on announcement?
It looks like the Herald Journal held this whole thing up since they do not produce a paper on Sunday or Monday, they thought it was unfair to have this huge announcement over the weekend. Look for an announcement today and a press conference tomorrow, this will allow the HJ to run the story on Tuesday.

Wow, if that is true it is the worst possible example of controlling state/public (USU is after all a State University) news for the convenience/gain of a private enterprise.Aggieiester wrote: ↑December 9th, 2018, 11:05 amIt looks like the Herald Journal held this whole thing up since they do not produce a paper on Sunday or Monday, they thought it was unfair to have this huge announcement over the weekend.
