Colombi Sr as corner backs coach?
I bring this up only because it has never been discussed here before and I want to see what others that are more "in the know" have to say about this. But Henry Colombi Sr. seems to be a very successful and engaged DB coach out of Florida and a great Aggie fan and advocate. Would he be (or has he been) considered for our open CB coach spot. Just interested in what others have to say about this.

Would imagine that would be a compliance issue. I find it funny that we are saying that being an Aggie Advocate, being a fan and engaging makes him qualified. I am sure there are other successful college and high school coaches who are more qualified than him.

In my defense, I never said being a fan qualifies him for the job. I simply ASKED others more knowledgeable than me if those things along with his coaching record would warrant a further look into the possibility. That’s all. Just a discussion. Now we know where you stand in the issue.garyismyhomeboy wrote:Would imagine that would be a compliance issue. I don't believe anyone is advocating him for a coaching position based on his aggie fandom.garyismyhomeboy wrote: ↑January 8th, 2019, 8:39 pmWould imagine that would be a compliance issue. As far as his qualifications go it's s jump from HS to College for anyone. But go look at the DB's he's coached very high level players.I Believe some of them have even gone on to the NFL, I wish he'd send some of them our way. He's a very good coach at a high level in FLORIDA. And no I don't want a HS coach as our db coach.
