Steve Wiley Decal

Ok, so the team is interested in putting "Pops" on their jersey or helmet, I wanted to find out if any of you know if we can donate to this or all of us somehow chip in to make it happen. Anyone with any insight, I got a $100 on it

I found a Front Bumper decal (the space right above their eyebrow) for $.60 ea if we order 100 or more.

YBU did this for Lavell when he passed away. I think something similar with Pops on it would be awesome.

If live a decal with the night runner horns and Pops above or below it. Did anyone have his logo?

The logo shop can make 5,000 tatoos for about $200. Could we pass out tattoos of the decal at the first game?

Setup a Venmo account and let us know how much it costs. I'm sure we can take care of this.

Maybe I’m not the right messenger due to interpersonal conflict, but I’d highly reccomend no one Venmo Tania. Nothing personal and I’m sure she can be trusted- but it’s probably a bad idea for fans to send money to the family of players. I’m also not a compliance expert. I would want that to be checked on first. If there was something definitive that allowed it, I’d pitch in a few bucks.

Again, nothing personal. I’m not trying to start anything.

That is a great point. I'm still happy to donate some money for this cause, I'm not sure it's be the right person to hear this up but I'll help how I can.

I love this idea, and would be happy to chip in. However, I think we ought to work through the AD to get this done. Tell them there's donors that will pay for it, but let the AD handle the legwork so it's all on the up and up. I would not want the school to get any sort of NCAA violations due to trying to honor one of our greatest Aggies.

I have emailed Waqa Damuni this morning asking for direction and approval, I will update everyone once I get a reply.

While P5 schools create fake classes and grades to get their players by, we would probably get the death penalty for doing this.

I get the sentiment behind the demon bull but I think any decal or patch should be something uniquely personal to Steve such as Pops, HLNAS or whatever else but not something that could be misconstrued as a university logo or brand.

I would hope the the team is/has already decided how to honor Steve. I wouldn’t think they need outside support to make it happen.

Steve sent me one a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago. Someone posted a link to an old thread where had replied to, and it had the Demon Bull on it. I'll see if I can find it.

So, I just wanted to update anyone who was interested in participating in this. Waqa never responded to my email, but I asked Jordan if they are going to have anything for Pops this season and he said that he heard they will be wearing something for him.

So my brass quintet won a competition and this is what we’re performing for the awards ceremony later today. It’s a medley of jazz tunes made famous by Louis Armstrong (also nicknamed Pops), but we can pretend that it’s also for Steve Wiley
