Analysis of Quinn's Fresno Game

Post by USUBlue » January 10th, 2019, 9:23 am

Well that was a shot to the nuts! Along those lines, let's just say that it was a hard fought game, where Fresno's players made more plays than our players. I have no interest in just looking at Quinn's game on this one. My grandson said it best, "Dang, the bad guys won!"

Now on to Wyoming.

One thing I enjoyed last night was seeing Taylor not just take wide open threes, but drive to the ball to the basket to get layups or fouled. I would like to see more of this going forward.

I loved the hammer bankshot dunk. Never seen that one before. Probably should have been offensive goal tending. Ball would not have gone in had Quinn not popped the rim.

I especially liked the muscle flex tough guy celebration. That's the only real way to let your opponent know that you posterized him with a power bank a dunk shot.

Yep. The muscle flex afterwards was the icing on the cake. It also led me to believe that surely Quinn had "called bank" as he went up to dunk that. The muscle flex was just taunting his opponents at that point. I mean, what's harder to do, an and-1 dunk or a called bank and-1 dunk?

Haha true, but he was fouled so it’s lucky it went in at all
