We have come a long way. We beat out four different Power 5 programs for this kid, who is truly a great prospect. That article also has one of the most impactful statements I've seen in a while: "If Gary Andersen is not at Utah State, my son is not at Utah State," Hill said. "That's everything. Plain and simple."

When Hill and Legas were first offered, I had a brief exchange with Coach Hill but based on what he told me I thought we had a pretty good chance with both kids. Coach Wells and the boys never even gave these two the time of day.

I compare the signing of Hunter Hill and Cooper Legas to when Coach Andersen signed Bojay Filimoeatu and Al Lapuaho. Before those two signed at Utah State, the Aggies were an afterthought to the Polynesian kids that we were recruiting. No one wanted to come here. Bojay and Al were BIG time recruits and once they signed they showed the other Polynesian kids that it was cool to come to Utah State and soon many others followed their lead. Hunter Hill and Cooper Legas and the Orem football program in general are very respected in the state of Utah. With Hill and Legas signing with the Aggies now they too have shown the upper echelon of Utah high school kids that it is cool to sign with Utah State and I think we'll reap the benefits of signing these two as early as next season. These two will be awesome ambassadors of Aggie football to the kids we are recruiting from Utah.

I have to disagree with you on this very fine point: Then there people still that are not. Though there are reports too, since interesting things are very much only that.

that line about having a stroke made me laugh hard. Well done.
I think 22 is on to something with these two setting a trend. U-State is a cool place to be, and an obvious pipeline to the NFL. It will be interesting to see if we can continue to have our “best recruiting class ever” year after year.
