Usu>Boise - Enoch Nawahine
Looks like we received the commitment of our freshman running back.

Regarding his signing with Boazy a year ago:
Poly All-Star stats: https://www.polynesianbowl.com/sites/57 ... _Final.pdfBut up until a month ago, Nawahine had zero offers to play collegiate football despite tearing through opposing defenses while racking up 985 yards on 153 carries (6.4 yards per carry average) and 11 touchdowns.
Nawahine's last chance to shine for scouts was during the 2018 Polynesian Bowl, and he didn't disappoint.
"There was a lot of five star and four star athletes that I guess took it easy, but a lot of us Hawaii boys went out there to make a statement. It was a statement game for me," Nawahine said. "And to play with a lot of kids at that caliber, I think it was good to showcase my talents."
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Enoch Nawahine
He looks like a scholarship kid. I guess that's the freshman running back and now 25 signees unless he's a push forward correct?

Re: Enoch Nawahine
Looks like Boise is going to have to take a back seat to usu since the aggies are flipping boise commitments. I wouldn’t be surprised to see others follow.

Had some nice ankle-brakes, stiff arms and jumps. He even did the Darrel G crazy hands.USU78 wrote: ↑February 21st, 2019, 10:41 amhttp://ww.hudl.com/profile/5439515/Enoch-Nawahine

Re: Usu>Boise - Enoch Nawahine
Yo, idc what he was, if he was a running back or potential running back at Boise, take him. Those RBs have murdered us year after year. They can't keep winning if we just straight take all their RBs.

Re: Usu>Boise - Enoch Nawahine
He signed, then unsigned <at some point> with Boazy. I suspect they wanted him to greyshirt, but he decided to re-open himself to other offers at some point.
22? Is that about right? What are the tea-leavers saying?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Usu>Boise - Enoch Nawahine
I'm pretty sure he was a preferred walk-on at Boise and they had him greyshirt. As long as no LOI is signed an athlete is still recruitable. At some point in time he decided he didn't want to attend Boise and we picked him up. I'm still working on more of the particulars.

Re: Enoch Nawahine
Looks a little disappointing to me: 10 carries, 18 net yards? He did have a 22 yard loss, so I'm not sure what that was about. Maybe a bad/fumbled pitch that went for a huge loss? Take that out and he had 40 yards on 9 carries, which is perfectly respectable.USU78 wrote: ↑February 21st, 2019, 10:41 amNawahine's last chance to shine for scouts was during the 2018 Polynesian Bowl, and he didn't disappoint.

He’s got great hands, speed, and elusiveness. Could be a very versatile weapon.
