Road Warriors!
What a great, gutsy win! I thought we were toast when Boise had that 5 point lead late in the game. Kudos to the team for keeping their cool, exploiting some mistakes by Boise, and holding on to send it in to overtime. What a fun team to watch!
Classic Blunders:

2) Going in against a Sicilian when death is on the line

I was watching with my teenage boy, thought they lost that one.
Then they didn't.
Then they didn't.

I thought we were done. Was already talking to my family about an NIT home game possibility as a way to make the loss hurt less. AMAZING win!!! Holy sh*t!!

Absolutely amazing what a difference a good coach makes. These players look completely different! These Aggies would wreck last year Aggies.

Haven't seen this much grit in. Utah State team in a long long time.
And how about Miller coming up Huge in the end after all his struggles of late. Big heads up play!

Re: Road Warriors!
Yeah they were booing cuz the team and bench were celebrating at the end and having fun. Also BSU fans are going off on the officiating and how they helped the Aggies win the game. I loved wearing my Aggie gear and smiling as I walked out of Taco Bell Arena. So much nicer to live in Boise after an Aggie win

Re: Road Warriors!
So they boo a team that celebrates an emotional win but they celebrate and defend nick duncans actions. Typical Boise fans.

The officiating was pretty bad in the second half, but it went both ways.

Re: Road Warriors!
I love Queta but he was beating his chest and really celebrating. That didn’t sit very well with the hometown fans after another close loss. They were booing his celebration. Not very classy by Queta but he’s just an excited kid in a foreign land. I love his emotion and passion but I do think he will eventually get a technical for talking, staring down, or being a little too exuberant.

Re: Road Warriors!
My favorite memory of the BSU football game this year was Boise fans fighting while being inpatient getting out of that horribly put together piecemeal stadium.

I respectfully disagree. Let the kids be excited and celebrate. This is shaping up to be an unprecedented run, the kids need to enjoy the ride!Pacobag wrote: ↑February 23rd, 2019, 5:51 pmI love Queta but he was beating his chest and really celebrating. [We need players that show emotion and are excited. Queta is for sure cocky, but we need some of that. I have no problem with him celebrating. After being down 5 with less than a minute and find a way to win. I would be disappointed if the team wasn't celebrating. For these players there is not much sweeter than taking victory from the jaws of defeat on the road.]

1- That the hometown team didn’t like Queta’s literal chest beating and jawing at the crowd after the game.
2- That it’s not very classy for a player to essentially “rub it in” after a hard fought victory.
3- That Queta won’t get a technical for talking, staring down, or celebrating in the future.

Yes they did. I was at the game and it was loud and clear. I was so surprised when I heard it. They took the second place team in the conference to OT with their 11 win team and then "boo" their own players. Unbelievable.

Re: Road Warriors!
If their b-ball fans are anything like their football fans it was probably deserved. If he didn’t shake the opposing players hands and was in their faces that’s one thing but he doesn’t owe anything to Boise states fans.Pacobag wrote:Which of my points do you disagree with?aggies22 wrote: ↑February 23rd, 2019, 6:44 pmI respectfully disagree. Re: Road Warriors!
Pounding your chest after a close win is one of those things that you hate about a guy if he’s on the other team but love about him if he’s on your team.
I’m an Aggie, so I’m happy when Aggies pound their chests after gutsy road wins.

Re: Road Warriors!
Good for Queta. After the way their fans acted during our football game I could care less whether they like the way our team celebrates. Did they bring back old sausage fingers for the game? Maybe he could teach us how to class it up a bit.
I don't think Queta is over the top. He simply plays with a refreshing ease that is exciting and youthful.

“The winning team has a dedication. It will have a core of veteran players who set the standards. They will not accept defeat.” --Merlin Olsen
Re: Road Warriors!
Merrill outscored Boise State 7-2 in the final 41 seconds. The Aggies couldn’t have won without that performance. On the other hand, Boise State would have won if they hadn’t fouled Merrill three times during that stretch.

I love the aggressive mentality the team has. Even if the win/loss record was reversed it's refreshing to see a team battle each game.hipsterdoofus21 wrote:Does anyone have a picture of the team's road warrior shirts?

Read again Pacbags comments he posted above at 9:07 pm . I'm an absolute AGGIE but what Pacobag posted is valid. Acting like you've been there before can go a long way toward gaining respect. A bit more dignity when winning would really go a long way.

Re: Road Warriors!
I seem to remember an early season jazz game vs the warriors this year and the warriors won an emotional game in Utah. They sure as heck celebrated. I guess they have a long ways from gaining respect.NavyBlueAggie wrote: ↑February 24th, 2019, 8:14 amRead again Pacbags comments he posted above at 9:07 pm . I see nothing wrong with what the team yesterday. Other than one persons comments does anyone have any actual proof what happened. All I saw on tv was a team celebrating after an emotional come from behind win. My goodness unless they did something really bad like knock down an old lady or vulgarity (hand or mouth) directed toward certain people then I think we all should calm down and stop finding something to complain and be disappointed about.
