Stay tuned for what? Maybe I'm paranoid, but this has me a little nervous.

Historically, USU loses 10 to 12 scholarship players per year for a variety of reasons. So far this year, we only have 3 scholarship players reported as leaving. I expect more.

I was just thinking today I'm surprised he's still here. Wish he'd stay but I doubt it. Especially with the talent we have coming in.

Or for spring practice. Who knows. I don’t see anything that says he is transferring. I really like Colombi. Very accurate, can move well. I see him as the starter after Love goes to the nfl which could be as early as next year.

Who are you referring to? Dax Raymond, Darwin Thompson and Moroni Iniguez?

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
I don't see any benefit from transferring before spring ball. Go through the month long session, see where you fit and then decide. Chances are a kid would finish up the semester anyway. You might as well go through spring ball.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑February 26th, 2019, 3:28 amI was just thinking today I'm surprised he's still here. Wish he'd stay but I doubt it. I know a lot of you fellas are more...uh...experienced in life and therefore probably don’t use Twitter much, but this could be as benign as a post just pumping himself up for spring ball and maybe fishing for some likes/retweets.
Granted, QB transfers are common and understandable, but this alone doesn’t mean much to me given how Twitter works and how the millennial/generation z groups interact on social media.

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
I remember talking to Henry's dad before, I think, the UNLV game in Vegas that was Jordan's first start (I believe.) He said that Henry coming to USU was the best decision they had made. He's a talented kid. Is he the same eligibility class as Jordan?

No, he is 1 year behind. He will be a redshirt sophomore next year, and Jordan will be a redshirt junior

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
If Jordan Love has a repeat year statistically in 2019, he's going to have to give serious thought to skipping his senior season. I know it is difficult to be patient but in my opinion, staying at Utah State is Colombi's best option.

I'm actually really smart, probably smarter than you are so if you disagree with what I have stated in this post, you are likely wrong (and dumb).

Stay tuned with a fully charged battery symbol next to it, probably just means, he's charged and ready, but no one pay me any attention, just a parent of a Jordan that sends me emojis that I have to interpret everyday...have a great day guys and DON'T WORRY.......do do dodo do do...BE HAPPY

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
We all hope it doesn't happen, but he is just one play away from being the starting quarterback on what appears to be a solid football team. The odds that Love gets hurt over the next two years are pretty high. As a fan I'm very comforted to have someone like him waiting.

JDeuce is a strong guy and has powered thru quite a bit without anyone even knowing, he's our guy, Columbi is our #2 (and a great QB as well)

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
Agree with all of this. It is great knowing we have someone of Colombi's quality as QB2. I think he will make a great starter when his time comes. He played exceptionally well in the Hawaii game this year.taniataylor wrote: ↑February 26th, 2019, 8:49 amHUH?? As a more broader comment, while we may not have a pro bowler like Bobby Wagner on the roster right now, I think the depth and overall talent of our program is at an all time high across pretty much all positions.
Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
The way Woodward is playing, he could some day be a pro bowler.

He likely has a future in the NFL. I doubt he is going to need to take up bowling.

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
Spring workouts, spring ball, playing two qb’s at once, all seem more likely than a transfer.

I have to look at this in the worst possible way and think that he is dropping football altogether to join a cult. Rumor has it the Kool Aid man has been hanging around the locker room. Let's hope this turns out better than Jonestown. Perhaps Tania can confirm this through Jordan?

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
I’d be more concerned with a transfer If Columbi didn’t already redshirt and if Love weren’t likely imo to go nfl next year.
I’m maybe missing something but what does Columbi gain from transferring. He sits out a year losing eligibility and he maybe starts next year.
Or he stays at USU and grows in the system he knows, gets to step in if love needs it, or we are blowing out a team.
Basically what benefit is there to transferring?

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
I probably overreacted.
OK, I DEFINITELY overreacted.
Given the history (fast becoming the long past history) of Aggie football, I have a tendency to be a little anxious. I think Columbi is a terrific quarterback. I think he improved noticeably from the beginning to the end of last season. And when the time comes, I think he'll be a very capable replacement for Love, probably getting two years as the starter. And that's why I'm a little nervous.

Could be his way of saying he's seeing all of the QB's USU has signed and he's charging up to take on all challengers! He sounds more like that kind of guy than the whiney, "I need to showcase my abilities somewhere else" crap that we hear all over these days.

Re: What's going on with this tweet from Colombi?
A F makes a solid comment here folks. Colombi is the real deal and will see the field backing up Love and then succeeding him when Love moves to the next level. Colombi is just one injury away from taking snaps, not that I'm wishing any bad fortune upon our stellar Mr. Love.AggiesForever wrote: ↑March 1st, 2019, 9:36 amCould be his way of saying he's seeing all of the QB's USU has signed and he's charging up to take on all challengers!
