A quicky with a quavering queen gone quietly bad?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Who has the inside scoop
That certainly sounds very logical. Such a weird situation that happened with the cop running into everyone. Not sure what the cop was thinking, but the coaches were definitely hot headed yelling and cursing everyone and everything. Not sure what good it does to get so upset about someone being touched when you can’t even protect these clowns from themselves.TheAKAggie wrote:A Nevada coach with a clipboard avoided the line, Ragland turned and chirped at him (maybe the f you that Musselmann said was chirped at every coach). He then accused the Hurd of touching players in out of bounds plays, which turned into touching players in the court storming, and Caroline had a complete meltdown because they lost a close game in a hostile environment in which he fouled out. Most of his teammates couldn’t be bother by his none sense which makes it seem like this has happened before. Pretty sure that sums up the whole situation.

Re: Who has the inside scoop
Is it possible the entire coaching spat started because the crying poor sport man-baby Musselman snubbed the last half of USU coaching staff as he stormed off the court?

Although it can't be seen, this is true, many of the Nevada coaching staff refused to shake hands with our coaches.aggiesdotcom wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2019, 4:44 pmIs it possible the entire coaching spat started because the crying poor sport man-baby Musselman snubbed the last half of USU coaching staff as he stormed off the court?

Episode 5 around the 6-minute mark is particularly interesting given the circumstances.BeNo wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2019, 7:15 pmAny chance we see what occurred on Running with the Pack?:

Re: Who has the inside scoop
The video posted to Twitter by the kutv employee is now approaching 2 million views.
I think it is the ksl employee video that shows when the officer arrives and firsts direct the coaches from behind who is eventually seen later in the kutv video. Something I hadn’t seen before - but now noticed you can see some of our staff in the ksl video as the officer made his way down the tunnel with the Reno coaches. So maybe they exchanged words in the tunnel.
Would love to see what the video captured by the running with the pack film crew. They definitely were shown focusing their camera on the broken glass in the kutv video. I assume they might have the moment where Caroline explodes. Either what initiated it or the moment he lost control.

I understand and respect your opinion, however i respectfully disagree, that this should be the last.72AgGrad wrote:Frankly, I hope that is the last court storming. I understand how the students could get excited and caught up in the moment, but (and maybe this is a reflection of my age) I now view court storming as something which simply should not happen.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2019, 9:53 pmSour grapes.
But I’m guessing we may have just seen the last court storming in the MW.
Nor should it be frequent, how many times does USU beat a top ten caliber team. If there are any repercussions, the school should just take it quietly.
The apology, IMHO, killed the spectrum, last night it was resurrected. This is a huge advantage for our program. Huge, Nevada for the first time this year was intimidated/OR the fans got in their heads just enough. This tilted the game our way, if the boys play like this the rest of the way.
We will be enjoying a good payday for participating in March. That my friend out-ways any consequences with storming the court.
Save it for top 10 caliber wins.
Cheers

The chant was definitely for Caroline. I don't know the entire story. Looks like he became a dad his sophomore year and he's since broken up with his girlfriend.

Re: Who has the inside scoop
What stands out to me in this video is that the Martin twins appear to be trying to push the coaches toward the tunnel. It’s a shame when the players, who were actually the ones playing the game, have to be the adults after the game is over.
I didn’t have a chance to watch this game and don’t know how they conducted themselves during it, but props to them for not escalating an already ugly situation.

Re: Who has the inside scoop
1000% agree with ESPN analyst in this case on court storming. It's a rare instance, keep it, need to prepare security for these and execute. Simple as that. If we allow the PC police to control the outcome here we lose the spectrum magic, and our home court advantage. if there are repercussions, so be it, live with the consequences.USUGrad01 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2019, 10:11 pmWhat stands out to me in this video is that the Martin twins appear to be trying to push the coaches toward the tunnel. That was the best video I've seen thus far on getting to the truth of the matter. A couple of observations I see:USUGrad01 wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2019, 10:11 pmWhat stands out to me in this video is that the Martin twins appear to be trying to push the coaches toward the tunnel. 1. USU did a good job securing the court storming students from the players, so this idea from ESPN that USU did something wrong on security measures is should I say "fake news."
2. Most Nevada coaches if not all and some players didn't even shake hands. Talk about bad sportsmanship.
3. I did see what looked like a skirmish of words with last assistant coach on USU side and Nevada coaches. It may be because of the lack of sportsmanship on the side of Nevada. Whatever was said by USU assistant needs to be taken in account, but so does the unsportsmanship of Nevada.

One thing I will add is the Martin twins seem to be pretty stand up guys.. They always seem Calm and collected. Amazing ball players on top of that.USUGrad01 wrote:What stands out to me in this video is that the Martin twins appear to be trying to push the coaches toward the tunnel. The assistant coaches going at it happened right in front of Scotty G. Would love to hear his take on what he saw/heard.

I know the refs left through the visitors tunnel. I may have said something about them needed to look for employment outside of basketball as they were passing by.BeNo wrote:Anyone observed in any videos where the refs were directed through these events? I hope you didn’t stoop to the level of telling them to learn to code.Full wrote: ↑March 4th, 2019, 9:14 amI know the refs left through the visitors tunnel. Re: Who has the inside scoop
My mom always told me that it takes two to fight. In the end, regardless of what any USU-affiliated person may or may not have said/done, Caroline and the Nevada coaches escalated the situation with their outbursts. They should face punishment from the MWC accordingly. This would be a non-story if not for their breakdowns. If they acted the way D1 players and coaches should act in a tough environment after a frustrating loss, we would just be talking about the win now instead of the aftermath. The actions of Caroline and the coaching staff were unacceptable, period. I hope the MWC responds appropriately.

Wishful thinking, I guess. Even though you're right, I can't help but hope that they aren't just given a pass.

Re: Who has the inside scoop
Only one of their layers acted up , to bad we have have to name call the entire team when everyone else was just fine. I'm talking about the players. Then there was that assistant coach...
