USU doesn't look bad

The predominant opinion among sports fans is in favor of rushing the court. It's fun to see, and a time honored tradition that only exists in college sports. Of course there are going to be problems from time to time. Who cares? (though we know there weren't in this case). So even if espn says we could control our crowd better I'm betting the typical sports fan doesn't give a rats nether regends.

Meanwhile the video being shared across America is that of an athlete throwing a temper tantrum and busting up his own hand in a fit of blind rage. Oh, and he's wearing a Nevada jersey.

They look bad. Not us.

I'm over it.

I was curious to see what fans of other MWC schools were saying so I checked the other fan boards. Of the boards that say anything about it, most are blaming Nevada for being poor sports.

Apparently there was an incident when Nevada played at Utah. Not sure what but a bunch of Ute people are saying something happened and they are sure Nevada is to blame for this based on what happened earlier this year. At least this is the story according to my plugged in Ute friends.

Agreed, at the end of the day the video is of Nevada's poorly behaved player punching stuff, not USU's. That dude tarnished his and his program's reputation. USU is already known for having intense fans. We should own that. It doesn't look bad.

So many people are involved with covering this up and attempting to make Utah State the bad guy. It's disgusting at the steps that are being taken.

I can say with one million percent certainty that if I even heard someone whisper that word directed at an athlete or a coach, I don't know if they'd get ejected, but I would because I would be making such a scene about it, they'd need to eject me.

I suspect she was sitting behind the team bench, which is where my seats are, and seats of other people who wouldn't tolerate it are. This did not happen, certainly not as a chant!

Ha ha. Now she's deleted a follow-up tweet claiming that it wasn't really a chant, but it was said by various people in the crowd. Probably somebody (maybe her husband) found out what she was tweeting and told her to stop.

I just got my GRAMA request answered. He said that 6 people had requested, one of them being a television station. ProvoAggie and I were probably 2 others. If ProvoAggie has no objections, I will post to YouTube and link here (they are about 300MB each).

He gave me:

1) hallway looking toward Nevada locker room
2) hallway looking toward USU locker room
3) three different views of the court

Unfortunately there isn't sound on any of them. I still can't tell what set Caroline off, but he started flying down the hall like a bat out of hell, hitting the USU staff that was there to monitor the hall decently hard. I can't tell if the hallway monitor said somthing flippant that set the assistant off or what. The Running with the Pack camera definitely has audio of what triggered him, though.
