HELL YES WALK-ONS!
15 REBOUNDS, BEAN? ARE YOU SERIOUS?
6 BIG FTs FOR PORTER? WITH FULL BODY CRAMPS? YES.
HONORABLE WALK-ON MENTION TO BRITO WHO CLEARLY BELONGS ON THIS TEAM AND WON THIS GAME FOR US IN THE 2ND HALF.
9 assists, 1 turnover for Sam when the team had 24 turnovers?
WHAT A TEAM WHAT A GAME

This is honestly the most resilient team I've ever seen play.

Re: HELL YES WALK-ONS!
Brito has had the quiet leadership role when Sam isn’t on the floor. Brito took charge and calmed the team down a little. It took 35 minutes but once we calmed down, we took control.

I know Porter didn’t have his best game tonight, but I am really beginning to like what I see from him. Doesn’t back down and is an underrated defender. Glad we have him for two more years. Just need to find another reliable switch it up PG (hopefully TK can put enough work in over the summer to get there) so he can get some rest during these type of games. He is a tough kid.

Amazing! Brito was brutal in the first half, but brilliant in the 2nd. Bean is unreal. He is so relentless. Great game!

Re: HELL YES WALK-ONS!
I'm glad we were able to put the whole "walk on" thing to bed. These guys are a major part of the winning that is being done on the court.

We’re 12-1 with Porter as the starter.

Re: HELL YES WALK-ONS!
It is truly remarkable that this team is doing what it's doing with 3 key players originally being walk-ons at USU. If you're walking on at USU you really don't have a ton of options out there.

Re: HELL YES WALK-ONS!
I have a man-crush on Bean. He is our Dennis Rodman -- but with an actual offensive game. And I'm so glad Smith stuck with Brito. MVP of the second half. Great stuff, Aggies!!

Re: HELL YES WALK-ONS!
At this point the only person who seriously thinks that is USUBlue. Speaking of whom, he hasn’t been around as much lately. I think Porter and Bean offended him.

Seriously only asked cause I wondered if you were taking Blue's place or what
Re: HELL YES WALK-ONS!
In all honesty, Porter played poorly. He turned the ball over way too much and had a hard time stabilizing the offense. But, he was clutch when he needed to be.
Bean really hustled and killed it on the boards and was efficient on offense. He had way too many turnovers, especially for a 4. His defense was bad as he couldn't keep up with Jackson.
That is my honest evaluation.

Re: HELL YES WALK-ONS!
I get what you are saying and why, but the coaching staff should try to recruit over all of our players. If we aren't bringing in better players, what are we doing? Of course that is easier said than done and I like how the staff developed the holdover players. I like that these players were given a chance, even though successful walk ons happen much less frequently in basketball than football. I don't think it is possible to build a consistently high level basketball program relying on walk ons.
Hail the Utah Aggies!

Re: HELL YES WALK-ONS!
In regards to the football walk-on vs. the basketball walk-on. When you are able to have nearly 30 walk-ons to the football team, you are bound to find a couple of gems every now and then.
