They still have us as should be in, but said that after New Mexico win, at this point in all probability, we are playing for seeding now.

That is big, because if we lose the game tonight, it will in fact add a 4th Quad 1 win to the resume.

It's a bit of a Catch 22. I'm willing to bet they drop it we beat them and go higher if we lose. So, win and we lose a Q4 win, lose and we lose. What to do? ;) ;)

Sounds like a good position for Utah State to be in.

What is our Q1 and Q2 record currently?

Q1 = 4-2?
Q2 =

So after last night, I'm breathing much easier and barring some really wacky stuff this weekend, we are in. But here's a list of possible bubble poppers. I'm not really concerned but it's March Madness and this is the kinda stuff that makes it the greatest time of the year in sports.

AAC - Memphis, Wichita St, UConn, and SMU. Pretty unimpressive group and if one of them were to sneak in it would probably be at Temple's expense. Memphis probably the best of the long shots here.

Atlantic 10 - Davidson, Dayton, St. Bonaventure, George Mason, St Louis, Rhode Island and St Joseph's. Davidson and Dayton are certainly capable here, and VCU is probably safe, so there is chance of a bid stolen here.

Big 10 - Nebraska. Down to 6 scholarship players and walk-ons, plus having to go 5 games without a break. Certainly a miracle. Besides, no one can win with walk ons. (Sorry)

Big 12 - West Virginia. If anyone can pull a rabbit out of his hat, it would be Huggins.

Mid-American - Bowling Green, Central Michigan and No Illinois. Buffalo is for real, but it is March Madness.

Mountain West - San Diego St. No explanation needed.

Pac 12 - Oregon and Colorado. Not sure if Oregon defeating Arizona St would pop ASU's bubble. Wouldn't it be rich is the MWC and West Coast garnered 5 bids and the Pac 12 1?

SEC - If Alabama upsets Kentucky today, someone is gonna bet bounced from last four in to NIT.

Bottom line is there are, at best, 8 possible scenarios, and in our present position, the worst than can happen is USU dropping to 11 and I don't think "last four in" is really in play.

Edit: Also So Carolina in SEC and Xavier in Big East. So 9 scenarios.

FWIW, Palm took us off his bubble watch a couple of days ago. Probably would’ve been back on there had we lost last night. Something to keep in mind is that if we lose tonight, our Q2 record becomes 0-5, which is not good at all. Probably would be best to JFW and remove all doubt.

Also, Palm moved us up to the 8-seed, along with Wofford, which I think is fair.

How could we be 0-4 when we're 1-1 against SDSU?

I think our win against them may only be a Q3 as it was a home game

That’s incorrect. Here’s our Q2 record:

BYU away (L)
Arizona St. neutral (L)
Fresno St. away (W)
Fresno St. neutral (W)
San Diego St. away (L)

That’s 2-3 before today’s game.
