What seed are we getting?
What is your thoughts fellow Aggies?
My guess is a #6 seed because we jumped a number of teams that lost and AP/Coaches' Polls will have us in the top 25.

Re: What seed are we getting?
I would love it we got a 6 and Nevada an 8!
But I think maybe, most likely an 8 still. If we had played and beat Nevada in the finals then maybe a 7 but we were supposed to beat SDSU.

7 or 8. If the committee really looks hard, they’ll see that our resume is arguably better than Nevada, Wofford, and Buffalo and would seed us accordingly.

Re: What seed are we getting?
No way we get a 6 seed. Had we played and beaten Nevada in the chamionship game we may have eeked out a 7 seed. I’m looking for us to be a #8 seed and Nevada to be a #6 seed.

Re: What seed are we getting?
I want a 7/10 matchup. Don’t care if we are a 10. Still a relative toss-up and a much more winnable second round game than an 8/9

Re: What seed are we getting?
I think 8 but I don't think they'll put us in Salt Lake. We'd be set to play the 1 seed should we win the first game and I don't think they'd put a 1 seed in that position.
Go Aggies!

Re: What seed are we getting?
I just want them in the Sweet Sixteen in Anaheim. I will be there with my son for Spring Break.
Unfortunately will miss 1st/2nd round games due to a corporate retreat I am compelled to attend. First time in about 40 years I will miss watching 1st/2nd round games all day long from Thursday through Sunday.

Cmon Des Moines then if not salt lake or even tulsa. Btw staying away from a 1 or 2 seed in the second round would be a big deal.

Re: What seed are we getting?
Hoping for a 6 or 11, winnable either way and facing a 3/14 winner in the second round, and at worst a 2 in the third.
And since Houston and Texas Tech are looking like 3 seeds, they'll protect them by sending them to Tulsa, the closest first/second round site to Texas. So a 50/50 chance my team would get assigned to my city.

Re: What seed are we getting?
I’d be fine with letting them go to Texas as long as the sweet 16 round is in kc.OKAggie wrote: ↑March 16th, 2019, 7:27 pmHoping for a 6 or 11, winnable either way and facing a 3/14 winner in the second round, and at worst a 2 in the third.

Short notice fares would probably be $600-800 Thursday through Sunday, and no.AgMac wrote: ↑March 16th, 2019, 7:29 pmHow much are plane tickets and do I need to bring my own pillow?OKAggie wrote: ↑March 16th, 2019, 7:27 pmHoping for a 6 or 11, winnable either way and facing a 3/14 winner in the second round, and at worst a 2 in the third.

Just get AgMac Sr. and YBA Sr. to share driving the 18 hours, and maybe pick up 918Agg on the way.

The Aggies’ seed may well be higher than their predicted finish in the Mountain West.

Re: What seed are we getting?
If we land somewhere around 28 in the NET rankings and crack the top 25 in the AP and coaches polls then I am really confused on all the pessimistic predictions. Seems like really simple math to me. 28/4=7. Shouldn't we be expecting a 7 seed at worst?

Did we get a 5 seed in 2011?NibleyAg wrote:If we land somewhere around 28 in the NET rankings and crack the top 25 in the AP and coaches polls then I am really confused on all the pessimistic predictions. Seems like really simple math to me. 28/4=7. Shouldn't we be expecting a 7 seed at worst?

No, but should we be happy about that and was it fair? Should we always expect to get seeded much lower than our rankings? What is NET rankings for?QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑March 16th, 2019, 8:42 pmDid we get a 5 seed in 2011?

Re: What seed are we getting?
I don't remember a 5 seed either in 02 or thereabouts when we were ranked in the top 25 and got left out entirely.

Re: What seed are we getting?
We'll get pushed down s line or two because of "strength of schedule." That is such a crock. The Net ratings take that into account.

Re: What seed are we getting?
For what it's worth, ESPN has us as a 10 seed in the latest bracket. It was just updated as Abilene Christian was just added. Don't really care what the seed is, I just want to win.

I want to be a 7 or 10 and play in Des Moines. Not just because the arena is 15 min from my house.
