NMSU Raggies lose a heart breaker
They had every chance to win at the end. Tough way to lose. They need to get into a better league. Tough to win when you're a 12 seed every year. We know the feeling.

Re: NMSU Raggies lose a heart breaker
Auburn literally tried giving them the game but NMSU wouldn't take it. Missed two free throws with under 2 seconds AFTER the guard passed up a wide open layup that would have tied the score.

Lots of head scratchers at the end of the game by both teams. NMSU has no one to blame but themselves for losing that one.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑March 21st, 2019, 1:59 pmAuburn literally tried giving them the game but NMSU wouldn't take it. I know the feeling having your heart broken by Auburn.
I also know the feeling of how NMSU tended to treat us.

Re: NMSU Raggies lose a heart breaker
Not sure I have seen a team with more chances to win a game in the final seconds than that. The PG passing up the wide open layup ended up costing them even though it appeared the foul on the 3PT attempt was going to bail them out. Even after only hitting 1 of 3 FT's they still get ANOTHER chance to win with the ball and 1.1 seconds.
I had no idea what they were doing on that last play. You settle for a fade away 3 falling out of bounds in the corner when you have the ball out under your own hoop? That last shot should have been taken from somewhere in the paint.

Re: NMSU Raggies lose a heart breaker
Any more I’m starting to see seeds 5-12 as all pretty similar caliber of teams. I think that’s why you see so many 12s over 5s because there’s not that big of a difference in talent and size. If you think about it, it’s going to be middle of the pack P5 teams and the top mid major teams so the odds should be even. That’s why I wasn’t getting so caught up in being a 7-10 seed and would’ve preferred an 11 which gets the 3 seed in the next round instead of the 1 or 2.

I’m here at the game, too, before flying overnight to the Midwest to see the Columbus games tomorrow.
New Mexico State seemed to have good size, talent and athleticism. They outrebounded Auburn by 15. But they had no concept of of what they needed to do offensively. They should have won by 10 points.

Re: NMSU Raggies lose a heart breaker
Nmsu losing makes me sad
Yes. Frank is a tool but he sparked more interest into rivalry
I remember my boys and newphews hauling many gallons of aggie blue mint ice cream down
Met the New Mexico age for and ice cream social
Guys like dancing ag. Dozens of others. Good guys
So yes. I want them to win outside of head to head

I didn't pick New Mexico State and I didn't pick Nevada either.
