Nevada plays undisciplined

Post by hipsterdoofus21 » March 21st, 2019, 9:53 pm

Go figure.

Wasn’t just today. All year they looked like a team full of individuals out to get theirs. Musselman has himself to blame because he never reigned them in off the court obviously so how could he expect to have any control on the court.

I agree hipster, what a pathetic show of individual one on one. I think at one time during the game Caleb Martin was 4 of 23, and yet he brings the ball up, dribbles all over the court doesn’t pass and jacks up shot after shot. There was no team ball at all. It actually was a very sad display of how College basketball should not be played.

We are so blessed to have a TEAM that plays like a TEAM!

It is hard to beat a zone when you have one guy trying to do it all.

their lack of depth by playing only 6 players took its toll.

what an embarassment to the mwc

An Army of One. There is a reason that slogan was short lived and dumped by the Army. Team trumps individualism. Our win over Nevada in the Spectrum was sooooo huge for so many reasons. Washington is next (fingers crossed). Gosh, I love our "team". Go Aggies.

Didn’t Nevada sign a 5 star last year. What happened to him? I can’t imagine redshirting a guy who was rated a top 10 kid in last years class.

4 assists, 14 turnovers for the Pack in this game. Iso at its finest.

It was the Spectrum's fault. We got into their heads and never left.

I have heard unofficially that as the Nevada team was walking down the ramp leading to the court that a player who shall remain nameless, caught a glimpse of a red colored square object hanging ominously on the wall. Sources say that the "player" immediately lost his grip on reality and bolted back toward the locker room. It took the whole team most of warm-ups to settle him down, and to find another entrance to the court for the game. Hence, the entire loss can be blamed on the object in question.

Update** "Unconfirmed reports 'claim' that the red box in question had a school stamp of a university somewhere in the 'west'." Authorities have been alerted and an investigation is forthcoming.

Boy, that Nevada game was painful to watch. I thought Jazz Johnson brought a spark and even Thurman and Porter were trying to play team ball but the big three (twins and Caroline) were doing nothing but looking for their own points and jacking up bad shots. To be fair, Cody played a lot better than Caleb. You see multiple times that making one more extra pass would result in a wide open look, but instead they were in hero ball mode and forcing tough shot after tough shot. Nevada did not deserve to win that game. Good riddance.

There were a few times that it looked like the twins were trying to freeze Caroline out of the offense. Once in particular he was wide open at the top of the key....they looked at him and swung the ball the other way.

Yes, I remember that and thinking the same thing as well. Then when Caroline did get the ball he would settle for 3 pointers...and would miss badly.

Our defeat of them in the Spectrum sucked the life right out of them. It completely changed them and thus their trajectory for the balance of the season. Amazing what one game, one loss can do to a team.

It wasn't the loss on the court that jacked them up. It was the complete loss of institutional control and lack of accountability. It is one thing to have you're team's back, but what happened in Logan let the inmates know they were running the asylum.

Interesting that since His Sweetness got into a fight with the fire extinguisher in 4 games he averaged 10 PPG and shot 29.5% from the floor and 10% from 3.

Pre fight he was shooting 47% from floor and 39% from 3 while averaging 18 ppg.

Muhammad Ali said even though he won the fight, his "Rumble in the Jungle" with Joe Frazier changed him physically forever.

Looks to be the same with Caroline and the fire extinguisher.

I'm thinking the Aggies broke the puppies' backs.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Sounds like “The Brawl in the Hall” changed Caroline physically forever.
