Hopefully after this game it takes a little of the shine off him for potential suitors.

He's got plenty of shine on that head.

Not sure I like our game plan against that zone. We tried to force our plan a bit too much when it was obvious it wasn't working. This was the first game I thought we were out-prepared but I'm still super excited about the future of this program under Smith.

Next year will be even better. This is just our first step into a larger world.

I do think our gameprep did not prepare us well. Seemed like we had no plan to get past their front line.

I think the guys were ready, but it is hard to know what it feels like before even experiencing it. I think the pressure and intensity is one thing on film, but much different in person. I think Washington did a lot worse later on in the season because the PAC12 teams had already played them once or twice and knew what it felt like to play against it in person. If we played them again, I would expect a much closer game as we would know what was coming.

I don't buy this either.

I thought the game plan was fine, but this type of zone is different than most. Syracuse has made a living with it for 30 plus years. Film can only do so much.

We attacked it well at times but couldn't keep it up.
