Jaxon Brenchley
Looks like he is home from his mission. Anyone know if he’d consider coming to usu rather than Utah based off the current trajectory of both programs and his younger brother is planning to walk on post mission?

Re: Jaxon Brenchley
Who knows, maybe he wants to study something that USU doesn't offer.
I just saw that former Aggie commit Ke'Sean Davis sign with Chicago State. Curious to see how he does, he looked like a good player.

No, he’s enamored with the pac 12. I hope he enjoys it there. Nobody else seems to. They averaged about 5 players transferring out after each year because they all hate it.

I imagine 5 is pretty standard these days with the “grass is greener” society we’ve cultured.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑May 12th, 2019, 9:07 amNo, he’s enamored with the pac 12. I hope he enjoys it there. The Aggies are sitting at 4 now, with possibly one more in Stall.

Re: Jaxon Brenchley
I’m not going to search for the source I’ve seen but it’s documented this is even worse at Utah than what’s typical at other schools. They’re losing key contributers each year. Guys who already had starting spots but leave and aren’t “transferring up”. A large contingent of Ute fans want Larry K gone because of it.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑May 12th, 2019, 9:49 amI imagine 5 is pretty standard these days with the “grass is greener” society we’ve cultured.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑May 12th, 2019, 9:07 amNo, he’s enamored with the pac 12. Re: Jaxon Brenchley
Who would you rather play for coach k or whatever his name is or coach smith? Where would you rather play 50% of your games, the huntsman or the spectrum? Which program is on a positive trajectory?
Granted the pac12 is viewed as a favorable conference. But right now not by much. The bell cow of that conference is about to be hit by major sanctions (I think).
Maybe he wants to become a doctor?

Re: Jaxon Brenchley
Is this even a serious consideration? What was mentioned that would lead us to believe he’d flip? Are we going to pressure every RM to flip? Why don’t we just pull a Rose and start recruiting in the MTC?
If he want to flip- great! Hopefully Smith can pull it off.
But seeing zero indication this is the
case (and that Ute sweatshirt) I just don’t understand why it’s even brought up.

I usually refer to him as Coach (I can't express myself without swearing)

Re: Jaxon Brenchley
Jaxon’s family are great people and great Aggies. I think only one of Jaxon’s aunts and uncles on his dad’s side doesn’t have at least one degree from Utah State (and that is an in-law). On his mom’s side there are a few Utah State diploma’s on the wall as well. The time that Jaxon was making his decision we were not looking great. Every kid wants to compete against the best and prove how great they are. Even when he would have resigned last fall nobody knew how good coach Smith was. And the kid stuck with his commitment. He has integrity. I’m sure growing up he wanted to be an Aggie. My hope for him (and Waqa’s son) is that they go out in the big PAC 12 world and realize that they what they really want is to come home and be Aggies. If not, good luck as long as you aren’t playing Utah State.

Re: Jaxon Brenchley
I'm not big on the fall back plan. Rarely works out for the school, but the kid gets a degree.
