Hans Olsen was saying on today’s segment that he thinks Bernard will be the leading tackler in the state this upcoming year. You could tell scotty was like you serious?pilotaggie wrote: ↑August 8th, 2019, 6:39 pm#18 - Darrin Paulo - OL - Utah - #18 in fan vote

Re: 1280: 60 in 60
It isn't that crazy. Woodward had 134 and Hansen had 114 last year. Utah arguably has the best d-line in the country and will make a LBer job extremely easy by eating up blocks.slcagg wrote: ↑August 8th, 2019, 7:54 pmHans Olsen was saying on today’s segment that he thinks Bernard will be the leading tackler in the state this upcoming year. Re: 1280: 60 in 60
I see your point and you could be right. Same story in Logan with the dline (I know Utah’s line is better) but I see Woodward as a possible all american talent that has proven he is already one of the best in the country at eating up those tackles. I believe stat wise he was the best in the country at getting those tackles per PFF and I think that will carry over. If you haven’t watched Woodward you need to, One of those guys that has a nose for where the ball is. I have not seen the same for Francis. But maybe he takes a step forward this fall as the opportunity will be there. I guess I look at Francis’s situation much like Rodney hood had a couple of years ago with the jazz. Opportunity to be the best scorer on the team and was gonna have all the shots to do it but that doesn’t mean he was gonna become an elite scorer in the nba. Of course Rodney had a guy named Donovan show up.UtesAggs>BYU wrote: ↑August 8th, 2019, 11:44 pmIt isn't that crazy. Woodward had 134 and Hansen had 114 last year. I think Woody might just have what it takes to become an All-American.slcagg wrote:I see your point and you could be right. Bernard had ten tackles in one game last year. He had one game two years before with more than 10 too! I bet he hits 200.UtesAggs>BYU wrote:It isn't that crazy. With those kind of results I now totally understand why the guys doing this would rank him in front of some of our guys that were all conference and all Americans. Just ask utesfanjustliketheoldcougarfans.QuackAttackAggie wrote: ↑August 9th, 2019, 6:08 amBernard had ten tackles in one game last year. He had one game two years before with more than 10 too! Re: 1280: 60 in 60
Remember Woodward did what he did last year and didn't play in at LEAST six quarters. The defensive starters were pulled early in the blowouts just like the offense was.

Any guesses where Tipa, Woody, and Love are ranked? The're the last 3 we are waiting for, right? I'm guessing Tipa at #12, Woody at #7, and Love at #4 (not that I agree with those, just guessing where they will be ranked).

Tipa will be announced tomorrow. Scotty teased it today for number 13 and said this guy will lead the state in sacks. Re: 1280: 60 in 60
Honestly, these rankings are what they hope will happen. Some major homers in the SLC media. They need to believe that Wilson will be the savior of their alma mater. Utes need them to prove they are a Pac12 power. Same thing, new year. Wilson may be great, but they're guessing, he's played half a season against mostly lower tier programs. Utes will do what they do; win some games, get the fans hopes up and then drop a couple games they shouldn't.
Just win Ags, shut them the hell up.

Re: 1280: 60 in 60
Even if Love had thrown for 10,000 yards last season, was an All-American, and the front runner for the Heisman trophy the SLC media still wouldn’t put an Aggie at #1 on a list like this. I’d be very surprised if he’s higher than #3aceofspadeskb wrote: ↑August 13th, 2019, 3:34 pmI'd prepare for disappointment if I was you.
