Siaosi Mariner

Post by aggies22 » August 30th, 2019, 7:45 pm

I repeatedly said that I was skeptical about what he would bring to the table due to his lack of productivity in his 3 years at Utah. I also repeatedly said I hoped I was wrong and he turned in a big season here at Utah State. I'm here to admit I was wrong and damn glad it only took me a half to figure it out.

Love Mariner. He just had a bad QB before ;)

It was a smart move for him to come here. He might play his way to NFL just off this season alone. Utah always has the worst qb’s and not sure why how they get talented receivers to play there.

I figured the receivers would be fine, but they are going to be better than I thought.

Mariner (and really, the entire O) looks great. Hope to see more from the defense in the second half, especially the secondary. Our OL will be fine.

You can tell him and Jordan love have a connection on where to place the ball and what they can both do

Mariner has been huge so far. Catching balls from a good quarterback has made a big difference for him!!

I think we forgot he was on the team for most of the second half.

He may be our best WR this year. He had some fantastic catches.

He had about half the production in one game (both catches and yards) here at USU as he had in 7 complete games last year at Utah.

Mariner was money tonight. Glad to have him on the team. The receivers look much better than anticipated.

Mariner is a great replacement for Green. He had some fantastic catches. Too bad we fell in love with the inside counter in the second half.

Asked myself that same question last year too. Even with Vaughns and Nathan he still was effective we given the chance. He has to be worked in to the offense more moving forward.

Mariner looked great. He will have a fantastic year. His hands were fantastic. Repp was great also. Both are going to be very productive.
