I unfortunately finally came to that conclusion today too. Even if they lose they’ve proven today they are pretty legit. I thought they’d get run off by USC quickly in this game.

The one worry I did have for USC was their QBs first road game and that is what has really hurt them all day.frankiesaysrelax wrote: ↑September 14th, 2019, 4:10 pmI unfortunately finally came to that conclusion today too. Couple things — Stanford looking like hot garbage and Fresno’s been underwhelming. Not sure SC is any good yet.frankiesaysrelax wrote: ↑September 14th, 2019, 4:11 pmThe one worry I did have for USC was their QBs first road game and that is what has really hurt them all day.frankiesaysrelax wrote: ↑September 14th, 2019, 4:10 pmI unfortunately finally came to that conclusion today too. Re: BYU looking good
They do look a lot better than last season, we'll have our hands full with them for sure. Not sure what to make of SC, they barely beat a Stanford Team last week that is currently smoked by UCF. With the exception of Wazzu, Utah, Ducks and maybe ASU the PAC 12 doesn't look that great so far.

Re: BYU looking good
I still am not sold on the utes being that elite either. They are so one dimensional on offense. They Have the worst qb in state. It’ll be interesting to see Utah go to Pasadena next week after they just played a common opponent.

The USC QB may have been feeling himself a little but, those first two picks were bad throws.

Re: BYU looking good
BYU has game planned pretty good for this game. It seems like they did this last year with Wisconsin also. They play their best game in one game every year and then it goes down hill after. Washington sent them downhill last year. Maybe they can ruin them again next week.

I hope they (BYU) put up a good fight and then lose in the most painful way possible - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory at the last possible second.

They win.
God, I hate early season bye weeks.
We are gonna have our hands full just about every week this season except for maybe @UNM. Gary better learn how to look at a game clock.

Re: BYU looking good
I am sick and freaking tired of watching that team win games like this over and over again. I do however, enjoy watching them lose games to us two and soon to be three straight years.

Re: BYU looking good
Meh, this win by BYU was only good for USU. If USU loses to BYU then they lose. BYU is going to the Hawaii bowl regardless. But if USU wins I want that win to mean even more.

Re: BYU looking good
The board curse is broken today, I guess. It’ll look better when we beat them. However, I’m sick of beating teams that have beat P5 teams instead of just beating the P5 teams ourselves... lol

Re: BYU looking good
BYU has a good team, they play really hard. This will be a tough game for us. Their defense is really stout, I hope we can move the ball against them. Wilson is very elusive and will be a tough match up for us. Right now let's go get the SDSU game, I want that game badly.

Re: BYU looking good
Can someone tell me that usc is actually any good. Two wins at home. Let’s look at those. One score win over Fresno. Fresno also lost to Minnesota at home. Minnesota is so good that they have beat Georgia southern and South Dakota state by one score in Minneapolis. Stanford. Stanford is so good right now that they were out of the game with UCf today before the end of the first game. Usc meanwhile leaves Pasadena for the first time with a true freshman qb, were extremely conservative in play calling.
BYU won the last two weeks. However Tennessee is downright awful right now and usc is getting closer to firing their coach.
If you can’t tell I am annoyed because their obnoxious fans are going to be touting how good they are and we all have to live with it.

Enough with the complimentary remarks towards BYU - grudgingly given or not, intent to jinx or not, it's got to stop.

Re: BYU looking good
I have to say, their P5 scheduling this year is looking like it is an incredible stroke of luck. They caught UT and USC at the right time with inexperienced personnel and program struggles going on. Washington already losing last week isn't looking great for them either. Utah may be the only one that is playing to their semi-normal selves.

I don’t think USC has been to Pasadena this year unless they went up to Colorado Street for some dinnerslcagg wrote: ↑September 14th, 2019, 7:44 pmCan someone tell me that usc is actually any good. BYU looking good
I'd give my left one for a win over Tennessee or USC. Enough with the they were up or down crap. We can't even beat a mediocre P5. Ever. Until we win some, I'm gonna shut up about that team down south.

Re: BYU looking good
I think Wake is actually going to be a top-tier team in the ACC this year, and I think playing them like we did (literally throwing away the win) is a good sign. Not a great sign, but something to consider.

Re: BYU looking good
Almost beating Wake, MSU, Auburn, Wisconsin is about the same as beating Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, USC, Mississippi State, Wisconsin, and whoever else they have beat. That's okay, we'll keep mocking them and they'll keep beating big name teams.

Re: BYU looking good
I have to give it to byu’s coaching staff. They dropped 8 back into coverage and dared USC to beat them with the run. Thanks to guys like Khyris Tonga, it payed off.
If they try to do the same to us, Warren and Bright will have a hay day.
