Beehive Classic
So looking at the Utes schedule that was released, the Beehive classic has changed.
They are separating the games and cutting the price of a ticket.
I think this may now persuade me to go. I never wanted to watch the other game before. I hated thinking that I would get an upper deck seat when I have better seats in the ReSpectrum.
Also the game time for our game is 5.

Re: Beehive Classic
I have not had any desire to go to the last two games of The Beehive classic but I will for sure go to this one where we should have a really good team and I really want to beat BYU since it's been so long. That is awesome that they cut the tickets in half. I also like that it's a 5 p.m. tip-off there should be a very large contingent of Aggie fans there.

Re: Beehive Classic
Except they really aren't making it cheaper. They did upper bowl tickets starting at $10 last year for both games and this year that's what the price starts at for 1 game. They may be marketing it as a cheaper event but it isn't.

Re: Beehive Classic
That's not true. You might be thinking of some extra discounts on tickets they did as the event got closer, but the original starting prices for last year were $60 for lower bowl and $20 for upper bowl (which was reduced from year one). Re: Beehive Classic
The original price may have started at $20 but they advertised the $10 tickets like crazy. They had deals for Jr. Jazz, Jazz fans, and fans of each school. Each school did e-mail blasts with the code for $10 tickets, they were advertised on Facebook and shared on message boards. The $10 tickets were very well known. Here was one of the Facebook ads: download/file.php?id=3366&mode=viewususports wrote: ↑September 13th, 2019, 8:51 amThat's not true. Looking back at the previous year it looks like they ended up offering codes to cut those ticket prices in half as well. It will be interesting to see if they have to knock this year's tickets down to $5 to get sales or if $10 is the bottom or the barrel.

They discounted them last year because nobody wanted to go. It is a stupid event.

Re: Beehive Classic
I think they will have to. I just went to the website to potentially order 3 upper bowl tickets. The service fees made the ticket prices more than double. The cart was over $61 for three $10 tickets. I wasn't born in the 1800's, so service fees are not new to me, but when the service fees are more than the actual ticket price, that seems a bit off. They may have "cut the price in half" but then they made up the difference with their service fee. No thanks.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑September 13th, 2019, 9:39 amLooking back at the previous year it looks like they ended up offering codes to cut those ticket prices in half as well. Re: Beehive Classic
I'm opposed to the Beehive Classic on principle. It's a scam to allow the Utes to stay in SLC and not have to stoop to playing on the road to in-state teams. I want home/home for all the D1 in-state scheduling (yes, even those teams we think are beneath us).
Having said that, if priced right, I might find it hard to hold to my principles and not go see the Aggies play 15 minutes from my house.

Re: Beehive Classic
I'm guessing that this is going to be the last year of the Classic. They signed the initial contract for 3 years and they haven't been able to get people to come. They couldn't get Utah fans to drive a mile and a half to see a game against BYU last year. If it hasn't worked yet then it isn't going to start now. Hopefully if it ends we hold our ground and demand a home/home from BYU again.

Re: Beehive Classic
Why would we ask for anything less? They don’t have a superior bargaining position. I assume that the days of anything other than a home/home with them or Utah are long gone.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑September 13th, 2019, 11:29 amHopefully if it ends we hold our ground and demand a home/home from BYU again.

Re: Beehive Classic
I think because our previous arrangements (prior to the beehive classic) with BYU were on a home/home/neutral agreement. I hope it returns to home and home, but there is reason to question whether it will be or not.calaggie wrote: ↑September 13th, 2019, 11:43 amWhy would we ask for anything less? If you go through this link: https://bit.ly/2kgpgWW
and use the code USU it looks like it takes the fee's off.
EDIT: Fixed the link.

Re: Beehive Classic
Just bought tickets for the game. $10 tickets is a great deal. Got center court first row of the upper deck so it should be really fun. I am not a fan of the games at Vivint, but I can't miss this game with the team that is coming back. I did not go to the last 2 years mostly, but am super excited for this game. That and it is about time we put BYU basketball in their place. It has been really bad the last 5-7 years against them. I am hopeful that this is the team to break the streak. Get your tickets guys and let's support this team.

Re: Beehive Classic
If you go the utahstateaggies.com and click on the tickets for basketball for the beehive classic their will be a link to buy tickets. Enter the promo code USU code and they will choose seats that are in the USU section.
Re: Beehive Classic
That doesn't work because the same seats offered using the USU code were the ones I was offered if I used the BYU code (only used it to see if it affected the seating locations and it didn't).

Re: Beehive Classic
I just bought 8 tickets on the front row of the upper bowl. $10 is a pretty good deal with no fee's.

Re: Beehive Classic
For those considering lower bowl tickets, there was a lot of open lower bowl seating last year. An upper bowl ticket gets you into the arena. I’ll just leave it at that.
Re: Beehive Classic
Anyone buy tickets and have them electronically delivered to their account already? I'm assuming with the game being three months out they aren't doing that yet at this point as I bought tickets and they're not in my Jazz account.

Re: Beehive Classic
Yes! I was looking at tickets earlier and couldn't believe the fees. I came here to see if others were just as frustrated but the discount solved all my problems. $30/ticket to sit on row 5!
I agree that games should be played on campuses--love the environment...but as long as they're not I'm going to enjoy having a great game so close to home!

I downloaded the Ticketmaster app and moved the tickets to my wallet app and deleted the Ticketmaster app. I don’t have a Jazz account.Bigd23 wrote:Anyone buy tickets and have them electronically delivered to their account already? The Jazz app is powered by Ticketmaster. I just checked in my Ticketmaster app as well and tickets aren't showing there either. I have the receipt.Full wrote: ↑September 16th, 2019, 9:35 amI downloaded the Ticketmaster app and moved the tickets to my wallet app and deleted the Ticketmaster app. I don’t have a Jazz account.Bigd23 wrote:Anyone buy tickets and have them electronically delivered to their account already?
