WTHCG - We will stay within the NCAA D2 top 25 for this week's matchup, with a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game featuring undefeated two teams from the land of 10,000 lakes! The University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs were ranked #7 in last weeks D2 Poll and are coming off a road-win at Bemidji State, having beat the Beavers 42-7. After letting the Beavers score on the opening drive, the Bulldogs had 5 takeaways (3 fumble, 2 Int - which happened to be on back-to-back drives) and a blocked punt. Last year the Bulldogs went 10-0 in the regular season, then lost to Texas A&M Commerce in the D2 playoffs, but due to the size of the NSIC, they didn't play this week's opponent....
The Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks were ranked #3 in last week's D2 poll and just won at home against Winona State 20-6. The Mavericks had 3 Int's (including on the first two Warriors possessions). The Mavericks also went undefeated in NSIC play last year, and ended up losing in the semi-finals of the D2 playoffs to Ferris State.
In an unplanned WTHCG twist, I see that the Mav's beat CSU-Pueblo in round one of the playoffs, so this week's teams played last week's teams in the 2018 D2 playoff opening round...

1 - Margin of Victory in game #15 San Diego State at Colorado State (negative for SDSU win)
2 - Total Rushing yards for the Colorado State Rams in that game
