I am so glad that we finally have a team that can consistently get rebounds and are not afraid to put a butt in a guy! I think a big part of this has to do with Smith and the energy and confidence he has put in these boys. I remember just a few years ago under Duryea and even a bit under Stew, we seemed to struggle rebounding the ball and it would often lose games for us. It helps to have the second tallest team in the country, but regardless, we can rebound the rock! Justin Bean has been tearing it up on the boards lately and had 15 tonight. Justin Bean plays with a lot of heart and energy, and although he can sometimes make mistakes, his effort and hustle make him such a weapon. Also, we out rebounded them 17-3 in offensive rebounds! Helps to win games when we get second chances.

Yeah, not sure when I last saw someone out rebound their opponent by 25. Well now that I look it up, the Utes out-rebounded MVSU by 40 the other night. Too bad they are too scared to play us every year.
