Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
I think confidence will play a big part in this game. We are still running for the division championship where Wyoming for all intents and purposes lost it last night. I think we're going to do just enough to win the game. I know our defense is not been great but I think we'll be able to keep Wyoming down to about 20 to 23 points and I think our offense will do just enough to get the victory.

Matchups are weird.
I think we win on Saturday but I'd be hard pressed to see us covering the spread.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
I hope we route them which I don't think will happen, but a nice 10 point victory where my heart doesn't have to stress about the outcome would be really nice.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
Wyoming looked good this past weekend. Their defense is fast and aggressive. It will be tough to score points just like last year. I hope our fans can bring it. That might be what we need.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
Something about putting teams away while up by 10 points late in the 4th quarter still makes me nervous. If it's not a 21 point lead, i'm still nervous.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑November 11th, 2019, 7:47 amI hope we route them which I don't think will happen, but a nice 10 point victory where my heart doesn't have to stress about the outcome would be really nice.

Just win. Cover the spread, or beat it, or even miss it - just win.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
Wyoming looked very tough on defense and not so bad on offense, especially throwing to their Tight End. I am concerned with the quality and intensity of their defense as they seem to exhibit few defects, at least from watching the Boise game. I fear the Cowboys will successfully adjust against both our offense and defense in the second half, which has been much the case this season.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
Part of me wants to drive out to West Virginia or Delaware just to place a bet on this. If we lose I make money if we cover the spread then I’m happy. The only issue is, it’s probably not worth the drive to put down the type of money I’m comfortable betting

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
As of now, Wyoming is a better football team than Fresno. It will take a much better game on our side to win this game . Go Ags.

Suspect you have a valid point here gomretat.... From watching the Boise game, Wyoming is much more disciplined than Fresno State. The Bulldogs made some mistakes that helped us win last Saturday, mistakes that Wyoming isn't prone to make.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
Pokes much better on defense than Fresno but probably not quite as capable on offense. Glad we play this at home because I don’t think we’d win at Laramie. I’m optimistic we can bring it at home and pull it off.NavyBlueAggie wrote:Suspect you have a valid point here gomretat.... Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
I'll buy into that thought AGGIEinIOWA. Wyoming has a very tough defense, yet I do look at their sophomore R B and their Tight End and my blood pressure spikes. A home field advantage on a warm afternoon could benefit Jordan Love. Hope our O linemen get it together.

A close game at home should be in our favor.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
The more I look at Wyoming the more I don't know what to make of them. Beat MIZZOU, barely beat Idaho at home, lose to Tulsa.
The way Gary talked about them in the presser, made them sound more physical than LSU!
I'm just left scratching my head a bit?

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
I have watched almost all of their games. Their Defense is the second best we Have faced imo. They are fast and very physical at the LOS. They can get to the QB with 4 but often blitz from all over the place. Look what they were able to do last year against our experienced and talented Oline. They are going to eat our current O line alive. The only chance we have is if they don’t show up. I hope I am wrong but unless we score on ST and defense I don’t think our offense will do much.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
Love's stats vs Wyoming
2017
8-18
109 yards
3 INTs
2018
12-28
53 yards
1 INT
Total
20-46
162 yards
4 INTs
Wyoming's defense has owned Love. If he gets off to a poor start, we'll be in a lot of trouble. I expect us to lose by multiple touchdowns if this happens. I Hope I'm wrong. On the other hand, I think if Love takes care of the ball and plays within himself we have a good chance of winning. He needs to have a game similar to the game against SDSU. It all depends on Love.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
They were coming off of a bye week heading into the Boise game. They were rested and had two weeks to prepare. This will not be the same Wyoming team that played Boise.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
Pretty sure the defense did just fine. 7 of WY points were from the offense.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming
based on BBD's stats, WY should have gone for "242.29 rush, 147.17 pass, 389.47 total yards", and the defense held them to "158 rush, 185 pass, 343 total yards".
So yards allowed were lower than stats predicted, but their 2 times in the redzone - where we got a 3rd and goal fumble and turnover on downs - made the difference in the W.

The spread got to -4 earlier today and I think settled on -4.5. Over under was 50. Vegas oddsmakers amazes me sometimes. I think 60% of money was on Wyoming
