I Know the D Has Had Injuries

Post by frankiesaysrelax » November 16th, 2019, 2:30 pm

But did a few guys getting hurt make the whole rest of the defense forget how to tackle. It seems like our tackling has gotten worse every week.

Dang! With 2 INTs it looks as though Love’s march to the Heisman Trophy May be over.

Too many guys trying to be like Woodward grabbing at the ball while guy just keeps running. I’ve also seen so many of our secondary diving at legs and just whiffing.

It did start getting better there that quarter. Hopefully the defense can keep that going.

Defense seals it, when the offense couldn't. Munoz and Meitzenheimer had solid games.

That first quarter is when I saw the poor tackling and but they really turned things around in the 2nd quarter.

The D held them to 348 total yards and came up with 4 TOs. They won the game in the 4th quarter by stopping 2 drives. Had Wyoming scored, even with time left, I didn't have a great deal of confidence that the offense would even get in FG range. The defense ruled the day.

Meitzenheimer's tackle on the screen play close to their endzone was a thing of beauty.

This is the best the defense has played all year. What's up?

What is the point of this post? Especially in the thread you decided to post it in? Just seems ill placed and lame to attack our own guy.

I thought the D looked solid. Anderson had a big stop after Wyoming got the int and then Lefeged got a fumble recovery to prevent them from scoring, we got a stop on 4th and goal, Tipa had a big sack that pushed Wyo out of fieldgoal range, we actually made some stops on 3rd down. We put a lot of pressure on their QB throught the game and even though we didn't get many sacks, we hurried a lot of his throws.

This is a very good post I thought the be played really solid today their quarterback was Elusive and was hard to bring down but they did Rush a lot of his throws the defense literally gave up 14 points tonight that is awesome. For as bad as they played the last several weeks I thought they played a lot better today and Munoz was just fantastic.

Defense overall played very well. But yeah, we're not a good tackling team. I'm not sure how many hundreds of times this year a QB has scrambled out of what I thought was a sure sack.
