Honest question re: CFP

Post by RockyMountainHigh » December 28th, 2019, 2:06 pm

1) who do you think wins
2) who do you want to win

I'm not going to be surprised if there is now Clemson fatigue setting in and it won't hurt my feelings. Just curious.

I don't really care who wins this year but if I had to bet on someone it would be LSU followed by Ohio State. Clemson could do it though. The top 3 look to be pretty even.

LSU is WHOOPING Oklahoma right now. Joe Burrow with 7 TD's in the 1st half....

Utah State played LSU closer than this.

I want LSU to win, mostly because of coach O. He seems to love everything about LSU and Louisiana.

If I was forced to pick a champion then I’d bet on Clemson. No reason, other than having the most playoff experience. I don’t think the lack of good competition in the ACC will have any bearing on how well Clemson plays against OSU or LSU, which seems to be the narrative surrounding the game.

I dislike all the teams that are in the play offs. I hate Ohio State the most I want them to lose every game. I probably want LSU to win. I do like their coach. If there was ever a coach that fit the school/state he represents it is coach Orgeron. He is an awesome recruiter. USC should not have let him go.

The OSU vs. Clemson game was an awesome game. Trevor Lawerence was an absolute stud, the way he ran the ball as a QB was the reason they won the game.

I'm glad Clemson won/ohio lost but gotta believe LSU is going to win it all. The only fatigue is Alabama almost anyone else is acceptable.

2. Clemson
No attachment to LSU and since Clemson is RMH's team, their my team for this game. Just glad OSU lost.

When we played Wake Forest earlier this year, we went to the Clemson vs Ga Tech game and it was awesome.

Clemson all the way now. LSU is gonna be tough though.

Do you know Randy?
He's a Aggie friend of mine from here. He said he had some friends who were gonna do that. I wanted to find out how they liked the experience. I wished I had known more in advance as I would have gave some tips on things to do and see.

I wish I had been there.

My heart says Clemson because of RMH and because I have actually liked them crashing the national scene the past few years (anyone but Alabama syndrome). My head says LSU though, I'm not sure there is a team that can hang with them this year and if this turns out to be a blow out I think we are witnessing perhaps one of the greatest college football teams ever.

I don’t know Randy.

it was such a fun game. The city of Clemson looked really cool. Kind of a small college town in almost the middle of nowhere. (Seemed like anyways).

The only bummer was Ga Tech sucks so Clemson kicked their butts. Only regret is that they didn’t play a legit team. Oh well. Still a really fun experience. My sons baseball team uses the Clemson tigers logo so I have a bunch of Clemson stuff. Worked out great.

I really hope they beat LSU.

I have been listening to interviews with guys like Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson and the other LSU stars and I definitely want Clemson to win! Burrow is more humble than Jefferson but he has a certain way he carries himself as if he is the best and like scoring 8 TD's was easy. Jefferson comes right out and says no one can stop their offense. I want nothing more than Clemson, who has been underrated this season, to go in and surprise LSU by winning the National Championship in the state of Louisiana. I also want Burrow to throw 6 interceptions...

Plus I don't know RockyMountainHigh, but seems like a great guy and I always cheer for my Aggie brothers team when I really don't know who to cheer for.

I wanted Ohio State, and I am convinced that the fumble-score should have been confirmed and am not at all convinced that the targeting call was correct.

However, they also tried their damnedest not to win when they settled for field goals instead of TDs. 3 FGs inside the redzone is not going to cut it against a team like Clemson. And 2 interceptions after throwing just one all regular season... that Clemson D was better than I anticipated. I knew they were good, but also wrongfully have a tendency to look down on the ACC right now.

Despite looking down on the ACC, I do like Clemson and Dabo. However, I like Joe Burrow (I still consider him a Buckeye) and Coach O even more, so Geaux Tigers, I guess.

I’m all in for LSU. The targeting call was text book and why the role was created. Had the guy not launched himself headfirst into the QB’s melon it wouldn’t have been an issue. I know the QB sucked slightly to brace himself for the hit, but it doesn’t crushed the fact that the defender launched himself headfirst with his helmet down.

The scoop and score was tough because the call was a fumble on the field. In show motion it sure did look like a catch and a football move. In real speed it looked like a PBU. I could not say there was conclusive evidence to overturn the call on the field.

As to the arrogance of Burrow, is that any worse than the faux humility of a dude bringing his religion into every conversation he’s ever had? I admire religious people, but I also think you can demonstrate your faith through your actions than you can through your words. Neither approach seems humble to me.
