Interesting. I figured Maile would be calling the plays and Collins as DC was about a title bump and pay increase to reward his recruiting efforts.

I wasn't blown away by Maile when he called defensive plays before so I am not upset about this, but a tad surprised.

Football is football. Collins shined on special teams and has plenty of experience. I'm excited to see how it works out. Having Maile directly interacting on the sidelines will help with communicating adjustments and straightening out assignments. We'll see. Kudos to Gary for not letting the problem fester. Ena may be a great coach but he was way over his head.

I thought someone said he called coverages or something like that. Not sure. Probably not fair to Maile if someone else had input but I just recall that defense not looking like those that had been successful for us in scheme and philosophy.

I like DJ and PK and listened to the interview. Solid as always. I am encouraged by seeing GA make moves. Many have questioned his drive and fire and this is a good sign.
