Recruiting
Recruiting
We are recruiting Justice Hill the PG at SLCC. He is being recruited by several schools including many high majors, but he would be a high level recruit if we could pull this off. I'm sure we are recruiting other JC guards.

Re: Recruiting
Justice Hill just kicked the crap out of CSI last saturday. He's got some hops. Threw down an alley oop that was very impressive for 6'0". Would be a great pick up with 3 years of eligibility since he's a redshirt freshman.

Re: Recruiting
Looks like he originally signed with Arkansas, but redshirted and transferred to SLCC. He's a redshirt Freshman this year, so he would probably have 3 to play 3 at USU.
6'0 PG Justice Hill (Pictured Above) of Salt Lake CC -
The Rs-Fr is one of the more athletic guards in the country. He has helped Salt Lake to a 21-4 record and #11 ranking. He is averaging 14.2 ppg and 4.4 apg while shooting 37% from 3. He will have 3 years to play after this season. He is hearing from Washington St, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Iowa St, Nevada, Fresno St, Utah St and FIU

Re: Recruiting
Alford had him in for a visit last summer. He is really really really athletic. Amazing hops. It was a bit of a surprise he didn't commit at the time. Reportedly the visit went well. I don't know if he is still in the cards for the Pack, though. Alford still has an open scholarship.
I think he will be a good get for whatever school brings him onboard.

Re: Recruiting
Yeah these are the types of players we usually don’t see at USU. With him and Marco that would be quite the athletic back court. Hopefully he wants to come 45 minutes north and have immediate playing time

Re: Recruiting
Oh my goodness.....he is QUUUUIIIIKKKKK!!!
If we got him it would be so nice for Queta to come back one more year Iain’t gonna happen though). Can you imagine what they could do as team mates?? That would be the long and the short of it.

Re: Recruiting
I would be pretty surprised if Queta left.
Just looking from the outside I don't expect much drop off from USU.
Losing Merrill hurts but you appear to coming back with a really experienced core..
Of course it is unknowable at this juncture but you should still be a top 3 or 4 MW squad.

Re: Recruiting
I totally expect a team coached by a byu homer to behave like that in a game that's decided by 80 points. The epitome of winning without class.

45% 3s this year. Looks like an elite shooter if you read his bio.

The Re: Recruiting
Is Taylor Miller on our radar by chance? Leading scorer in Las Vegas his senior year, recruited by SUU before his mission, poached by Rose on his mission, but Pope must have turned him down cause he’s playing at Snow College as a freshman. He just played CSI today and really impressed. Great handles, great defense, deep range and very good at creating his shot.

Tend to agree, scouts want to see him healthy for a full year. He sure has improved his offensive game though,

Re: Recruiting
I think I’d choose Hill first for his athleticism and strength, but Taylor can get hot.

Man, I want to land Justice Hill so bad. I’m salivating over the idea of having him and Marco Anthony in the backcourt with Bean and Queta in the front court.

Re: Recruiting
And Anderson (and John, for that matter). Anderson has shown a potential to put up big numbers. I think he comes back next year with a better sense of how he fits into this offense and has a solid senior year (like 10 ppg solid)Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑February 9th, 2020, 12:47 pmMan, I want to land Justice Hill so bad. Re: Recruiting
I'm not so sure. Reading the stat line from the Boise game, it looks like Miller got a hole in one on a par 6 (1-6) from the 3. Assuming I'm reading that correctly, that's impressive. We really need him taking more of those shots.Yossarian wrote: ↑February 9th, 2020, 3:03 pmLast summer I thought that was impressive.
