Good chance that we'll be sitting 1-5 half way through.

followed by a winnable game at home against UNM and then 3 of the next 4 on the road. This could be the type of year that tests an Aggie fans' mettle.

It is good to see we get home games in two of the last three weeks of the season, though. We should be set up for great attendance in those games. As a bonus, maybe there will even be snow or a good cold, wet rain.

Sep 19th looks like it will be a BIG weekend for the MW, 8 of the 11 games are against P5 teams (3 at home). it would be nice to see some upsets.

I'm feeling like I would be genuinely happy going 2-3 against BYU, BSU, Washington, Washington State, and SDSU. Means that we for sure get either

1. A P5 win.
2. A win over a rival.
3. A solid base for a MW title.

I know 2-3 isn't a great record looking at itself, but thats my goal for those 5 games. Get two wins. Hopefully more but trying to be realistic.

Positives:

two home games each in September, October and November
first P5 game at home since 2014 (Wake)
best P5 opponent at home since 2012 (Utah)
no Friday games
all home games after students are on campus
no home game on Fall Break (Oct 16)

Negatives:

all our best-drawing opponents (BYU, BSU, Wyoming, CSU) on the road
month-long gap between SUU and SDSU home games
playing in Fort Collins in late November - still waiting for my testicles to regain sensation after 2018 game
@BYU/SDSU/@BSU gauntlet in 15 days

2020 MW Football Schedule

Post by AGGIEinIOWA » February 27th, 2020, 1:41 pm

Bye after the Washington game to heal up prior to the Friday BYU game is good although our bye is fairly early in the season. Would rather have the bye before SDSU or Boise but maybe we can be prepared to storm Lavell’s palace.

That opening home game against Wazzou with all the students is going to be . If we can pull that one off, I think we gain some early momentum to the season.

Looks like the Boise game is the weekend of Fall Break (at least for Davis School District). I've never been, so maybe I can take some or all of the family. We'll bring those yellow glasses so the field looks green.

Sorry to be a Debbie downer, but we're starting the season 6-0, followed by two losses late in the season to miss the ccg.

I never want to set my bar below 6 wins and bowl eligibility, but this might be the year. I'll set my expectation at 5-7 and be thrilled with anything better than that and disappointed with much less.

One thing I've learned the past decade of Aggie football: Don't make schedule result predictions anytime from Feb-Aug.

Y'all got no confidence. This is the Aggies were talking about. I'm never counting them out of a game let's go guys! Also I dont see how we lose to sdsu at home. They have ZERO offense

Starting 1-5 yikes. We could manage 4 wins in total. Rough year coming.

I think we win at least one, if not two of the SDSU, Wyo, and AFA games that you have as L’s. I am also somewhat optimistic about the Wazzou game. First game for them with a new coaching staff, on the road, and a packed Romney stadium. Realistic chance at being 3-3 after the first 6 in my mind. Could also be 1-5 but I got me some blue glasses.

Pretty hard to judge this early, but the Washington teams aren't exactly SEC class and the stench is what is always was. I like the schedule. The Washington game is our body bag game? Hopefully we get a good payday for a relatively short trip to a game where we should be competitive. (not playing the number 1 team in the nation :))
