Good for them! First (women’s) 11 seed to ever advance in the MW tourney. Is Fink just coaching through this year?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I don't know that dude personally, but I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that comment was made in jest my Aggie brother.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 8:33 amOh my, someone doesn't have a sense of humor.sockpuppet wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 8:08 amGoogle it on your own time or start your own topic about it in the general sports forum or sandbox you sexist and demeaning jerk.

While I’m positive the comment was intended as a joke, it was the equivalent of a “get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich” joke.aggies22 wrote:I don't know that dude personally, but I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that comment was made in jest my Aggie brother.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 8:33 amOh my, someone doesn't have a sense of humor.sockpuppet wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 8:08 amGoogle it on your own time or start your own topic about it in the general sports forum or sandbox you sexist and demeaning jerk.

And here I was thinking we might get through a thread, which was started to talk about a major accomplishment by our women’s team, without any sexist “jokes”. Maybe we could just respect them and talk about their athletic accomplishments?

Re: Women win in OT on a final second shot
First of all, great job by the women for winning a game they were expected to lose! Unrelated, the coach needs to teach the team that when they score a potential game winning shot, but there is still 3 seconds left, they need to get back on defense instead of looking completely lost/shocked, like they had no idea that the other team would try to score one last time.stang wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 10:08 amWhile I’m positive the comment was intended as a joke, it was the equivalent of a “get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich” joke.

Second, what is wrong with wanting a sandwich?
One final thought. When my son was in first grade, his elementary school took a field trip to watch one of the USU women's basketball games. I asked him later that night if he had fun, and he said, "Dad, it was really boring." When 6 and 7 year kids can tell that it is not exciting to watch, that sums it up.

Re: Women win in OT on a final second shot
A lot of 6 or 7 year old kids wouldn't be entertained by basketball. Plus, if they don't know players or any of the dynamics of that particular roster, it would be boring. I have a hard time finding basketball exciting if it isn't Aggies or Aggies-related. Not to anger anyone on here, but I have no desire to watch a Jazz game. I couldn't care less about how they're doing, and I would be bored watching a game because I'm not emotionally invested in the team, the players, their progress, etc.ususports wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 1:42 pmFirst of all, great job by the women for winning a game they were expected to lose! It's a joke. What makes jokes funny is sometimes they are wedged into borderline inappropriate situations.stang wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 10:08 amWhile I’m positive the comment was intended as a joke, it was the equivalent of a “get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich” joke.aggies22 wrote:I don't know that dude personally, but I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that comment was made in jest my Aggie brother.FloridaAggie13 wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 8:33 amOh my, someone doesn't have a sense of humor.sockpuppet wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2020, 8:08 amGoogle it on your own time or start your own topic about it in the general sports forum or sandbox you sexist and demeaning jerk.

The Aggie women lead Wyoming by 14 at halftime in the last quarterfinal game. Go Aggies!

Yikes... the Women took a note from the men. They blew a 16 point second half lead, and now Wyoming has taken control of the game.
