Games of note today

Post by SpectrumMagic » March 7th, 2020, 12:18 pm

Although we can take care off business this afternoon and leave all this guesswork behind and worry about seeding with a victory in a few hours.

Teams of note that would be great if lost
Stanford
Texas
UCLA
Arizona St
Indiana - lost today
Xavier
Cincinnati
South Carolina

Rutgers is in First four Byes but plays Purdue who is next four out - probably best for Rutgers to win

I honestly don't think any of the above matters. Today is a must win.

It seems to matter to the bracketologists. Indiana losing was huge

Dont forget this Texas tech vs. Kansas game on right now. Tech is last 4 in on palm's bracket.

Marquette has gone 1-6 to finish year and is in 7th place in big east. Lunardi shows 7 big East teams in. The head scratcher is pac 12 getting 7 teams right now. PAC 12 is 4th rated conference. Big East is #1

Florida was up 16 on Kentucky with about 11 minutes left and just lost. Not doing us any favors.

Dang it Florida! Blackshear got injured and they couldn’t hold the lead.

Meanwhile usc and UCLA is currently 35-31 with 10 mins left in the game. How are both of those teams projected above usu?

That is HUGE! We need Texas to lose today by as much as possible and then lose early in Big 12 tourney. This will of course only matter if we lose today.

USC choking down the stretch. Missed 4 straight free throws. Meanwhile, UCLA has a 52% free throw shooter make two with 9 seconds. Trojans win with a steep back 3 with 1 second.

CBS guys saying they think Purdue is in. With an overall record if 16-15 and a conference record if 9-11, they are solidly in, right?

The Big 10 champion, Wisconsin, has losses to New Mexico, St. Mary’s, and Richmond.

But yes, we need to make room for their 10th place team in the tourney.

Is this real life? It’s a really unfunny joke.

In the post game interview, Smith said that his wife and kids read the projections of what other teams are on the bubble but HE doesn't. His kid will tell him "A bubble team, Stanford lost" and he will be like "I don't care" cause he doesn't even know what other teams are bubble teams.

Yeah Coach Smith is a smart guy. Can’t control any of that.

Xavier lost on 3 at buzzer.

Much needed rest for the guys. Get healthy and go get a W and go on a run. Hope for a favorable matchup
