Re: Recruiting
14 ppg at 39% shooting but 0.8 assists per game. Without watching his game I’d be concerned with his ability to help create for others and then he seems like a high volume scorer.

Re: Recruiting
The influx of players into the transfer portal is astounding. There's definitely going to be players without homes for next season.

Re: Recruiting
Combined with the inability of coaches to meet with these players in person and see them workout is going to make for an interesting situation. Coaching staffs who really scout, can breakdown video, and have good relationships with these transfers are going to be favored. I also imagine there are going to be quite a few mistakes made.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑March 25th, 2020, 5:14 pmThe influx of players into the transfer portal is astounding. Re: Recruiting
New guard transfers from yesterday that seem interesting at least. Some of them probably are high major guys in Carlik Jones and Carter Diarra.
Anthony Roberts (Kent State, Soph, 12.7 PPG, 44% FG and 37% 3 pt %) From Detroit
Drew Buggs (Hawaii, Grad Transfer, 9 PPG, 5 Assists per game and 5 rebounds per game, 39% FG Shooting and 26% 3 pt shooting%) From California
Carter Diarra (Kansas State, Grad Transfer, 13 PPG and 6 rpg) Would assume high major on him but you never know, from east coast I believe
Sean East (UMASS, Fr, 9 PPG and 5 apg) From Kentucky
Carlik Jones (Radford, Grad Transfer, 20 ppg, 6 apg, 5 rpg) Seems like he will be at a high major.
Tyrese Martin (Rhode Island, Soph, 12 ppg, 7 rpg)
Randy Miller (NC Central, Jr, 14 ppg, 1 assist, 38 % shooting on fg and 3s)
Anthony Roberts (Kent State, Soph, 12.7 PPG, 44% FG and 37% 3 pt %) From Detroit

Re: Recruiting
If Jones came here, his stats would go through the roof. He could get 20+ points per game and 10+ assists per game here. He should seriously consider coming here based on the facts of being on TV and NCAA tournament and an open spot.slcagg wrote: ↑March 26th, 2020, 8:16 amNew guard transfers from yesterday that seem interesting at least. I agree with your suggestion of Carlik Jones. His scoring is a little bit higher but his other numbers are very similar to what Jared Quayle was able to produce.SLB wrote: ↑March 26th, 2020, 9:43 amIf Jones came here, his stats would go through the roof. Re: Recruiting
Feeding it to Queta would increase the assist number by default, and we have a number of other players that can score. Jones should take a look at the fact of being paired up with Anthony would make a great potential duo.aggies22 wrote: ↑March 26th, 2020, 10:04 amI agree with your suggestion of Carlik Jones. Bean, Dorius, and Anderson can score. Anthony, Bairstow, and some others show potential. We have freshmen with potential too.

Agree there is potential in the names you listed. Bean in particular is really not what I consider to be someone who will boost assists. His game is cleaning up misses. Not trying to be negative, but I really am concerned about our lack of really strong offensive players.

Re: Recruiting
We don’t have a wing/guard that is returning and played last year that can get a bucket and create. Hopefully bairstow can get there but he seems like more of a facilitator. Word is that Anthony can but none of us has seen that. That is why I think the biggest is to find another solid scorer on the wing/guard spot. I also would prefer to not get a very inefficient one at that. There seem to be a few of those with names mentioned.Bank Shot wrote: ↑March 26th, 2020, 10:53 amAgree there is potential in the names you listed. Re: Recruiting
I doubt that we get Jones, but the upper tier grad transfers going to some P6 school that is lacking many things for winning much is a waste and should really consider Utah State. We are on national TV and a great opportunity for the 2020-2021 season for a grad transfer.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑March 26th, 2020, 11:00 amI can promise USU is not in play for Carlik Jones. Re: Recruiting
Ball State
He became a starter last season, and he played 32.4 minutes per game.
13.8 points per game 43 % from the field and 39 % from 3 2.3 assists per game 1.1 steals 2 TOs 2 PFs
His 3 point shooting % has improved every year.
He would be good pick-up, and seeing the offers he looks like that he has a decent chance landing here.

The extra 110 have come from the Wichita State program. I heard they might have a walk-on left.
