COVID will have a major impact on the game tomorrow.....if there is a game....discussions are occurring on the status of the game.

Part of me wants this cancelled to the stop the bleeding... particularly if we are the impacted side.
The other part doesn't want to miss Cooper's first start of his Aggie career.

Can confirm that the game is officially canceled. Just got word a little while ago. Don’t know when they’ll announce it, but it’s a no go.

This blows! I know the season hasn't been great, but crappy football is better than no football...

In my mind, we are now 0-4-1, and nobody can convince me otherwise.

In all seriousness, I was excited for this game. Not because I thought we would win (we wouldn't have), but I wanted to see Legas, C. in action (see what I did there).

Biggest bummer is that I was so excited to see what Cooper Legas could do.. It was a perfect opportunity for him with Peasley still on COVID protocol and I really have no interest in seeing him as the starter in future games...

As I predicted about two weeks ago, the whole season will get canceled, watch for it.

Back in March and April, I was thinking there would be no sports until Fall 2021. We got a little tease with 4 games of bad football - that's almost worse than no football.

I blame Shelley (kidding)
Was really pumped to see Coop this week. I wonder if it'll be him or Peasley if we play again this season.

Well at least it gives Legas or Peasley an added week to prepare for New Mexico. That could be our best shot at a victory this season. I was concerned about throwing Legas out there on only a couple days of practice with the 1's but now he should be able to get lots of good reps in practice, even if he becomes the primary backup next week with Peasley back.

I doubt we are practicing much either. However film time etc.

I agree, if they play next week even if Peasley is back I would still like to see Cooper get some series in. Super excited to see how he can perform.

What.... the majority have tested positive?!!!
Oh wait, you said there is a positive to the fact the majority have already had it. My bad, you had me worried there for a sec.

I do think there is something to be said for just getting it now and out of the way if you are young and healthy as there's a good chance you would eventually get it anyway, and it's less impactful to get it pre-season. That being said, I am not condoning getting it on purpose.

True. Quite possibly the best time to fire a HC and then minimize the poor football product? I also hope it means that there are more good candidates available because there will be less movement in the coaching ranks this season.

It would be nice to get some young future foundational players some more PT during this season so new coaches have some tape to determine who we have and where our biggest recruiting needs are. If we are lucky we will only have to miss the Wyo game and can get back on the field next week, although it likely takes more than 7 days to get a COVID outbreak under control.

This sucks. Kind of interesting though, we now have an Aggie basketball game before our next football game. Excited for that season to start (stay away COVID).
