How about sending a big man to the back court and screen? Toward the end of the game it felt like a win if we could actually get it across the timeline.

I was really looking forward to getting a shot at West Virginia. I guess we can’t have nice things in 2020. 2020 hates the Aggies.

The first few days of March were. Then we were robbed of a tourney run. March was a mixed bag.

We have to pass better. 8 assists is not Aggie basketball. One thing to keep in mind is this was our backcourts first game. For the ~30 minutes we looked really solid and then crumbled. We will get better, but it stings. SDSU will be tough tomorrow, they are really good and it will be a tough game.

This is a learning experience; the aggressor doesn't get fouls called on them. We need to be the aggressor.

The refs didn't steal anything but while on the subject,

that backcourt violation after taking off Anthony's arm, was atrocious.

turnovers and shooting 23% from 3 killed us. That was the same formula as last year when our 3-point shooting was bad we really struggled. We have to shoot the three-ball better. I actually thought we had a lot of Fairly good looks it's not like these were contested hurry up threes except for maybe on Millers 2, but other than that I thought they were really good wide-open threes just didn't make them.

Honestly, I thought our "handles" across the board looked better than most games last year. There were some growing pains (Rollie with the early mistake, team getting flustered during the press, someone getting in Bean's way as he dove for a rebound, crapton of TOs, Ashworth looked like he felt the pressure a few times), but I thought that for all the new players we had and the very aggressive, TO-focused play of VCU, we looked good and will have a good year.
