I would think you would want SDSU to win both..You don't want to diminish your good wins over the Aztecs in anyway..

Can they both lose? Easily my least favorite conference mates.

I like being in a conference with SDSU and Boise..I don't have any bad vibes towards any of the MW schools other than the far flung and difficult travel involved.
Ideally, I would like to see Nevada playing in an all PST zone basketball conference..Als, it probably isn't in the cards..

We need them to split. If you want one team to sweep it needs to be SDSU winning.

This is what I have been advocating for. Absolutely the team we want to stay away from in the semis is SDSU and the quarters is Nevada. Win out and I think we will be fine as I think SDSU will be the 1 seed and winning out would give us the 2 or 3.

I also like being in a conference with them. The only thing I dislike about any of the schools in the conference is The Show's Twitter account.nvspuds wrote: ↑February 25th, 2021, 6:33 pmI like being in a conference with SDSU and Boise..I don't have any bad vibes towards any of the MW schools other than the far flung and difficult travel involved.

Ohh, I might get a bit butthurt about some opposing players sometimes. Like, I really didn't like AJ West, but that's because he was whiny. I road tripped with some friends to UNR when we played them in the '13-14 series, and even some of the other Wolfpack players were badmouthing West as he was throwing a fit. Honestly, I was surprised he didn't get T'ed up. But, every team has that sometimes. Doesn't mean the team or school is bad or that I dislike them.

OT
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Boise @ SDSU who do we root against?
If SDSU wins both, that drops BSU behind us in number of losses, that drops them to 4th as long we win out. If they split, CSU has only 3 losses and takes 1st place. USU, BSU, and SDSU would all have 4 losses with BSU sweeping us and us sweeping SDSU. That puts SDSU in 4th and us in 3rd. Either way, as long as we win out we won’t be in 4th. (We don’t want to see a covid postponement.) am I missing anything here in tiebreakers?

Is it just me or does anyone else agree that CSU is the weakest of the top 4 teams. I know they snagged one from us in Logan but I thought they were the most beatable of the top teams. Nevada might even be better now. It’s a travesty that CSU avoids their second game in Reno.

The home and away games between the top 4 teams is as follows:AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑February 25th, 2021, 10:42 pmIs it just me or does anyone else agree that CSU is the weakest of the top 4 teams. SDS - 4 home; 2 away
USU - 4 home; 2 away
CSU - 2 home; 4 away
BSU - 2 home 4 away

I’m just referring to the eye ball test. After watching all four of the top teams play over the course of the season I believe CSU is the least formidable of the group.utaggies wrote:The home and away games between the top 4 teams is as follows:AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑February 25th, 2021, 10:42 pmIs it just me or does anyone else agree that CSU is the weakest of the top 4 teams. Re: Boise @ SDSU who do we root against?
Do we have the tie breaker over Colorado State? I would predict SDSU beats unlv and finishes number 1, but Colorado State has that road game against Nevada they could lose.

We have the tie breaker against CSU provided the Rams lose to UNR and we beat UNR.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 27th, 2021, 4:23 pmDo we have the tie breaker over Colorado State? Re: Boise @ SDSU who do we root against?
Win out and if CSU loses one game we have the 2 seed. That is assumibg SDSU is first place. 2 seed would be better than 3rd since UNLV will probbly be 6th and you can avoid them. Anything but 4th place would be best.utaggies wrote: ↑February 27th, 2021, 4:26 pmWe have the tie breaker against CSU provided the Rams lose to UNR and we beat UNR.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 27th, 2021, 4:23 pmDo we have the tie breaker over Colorado State?
